Micromax launched the Canvas Nitro, the company’s latest high-end smartphone earlier this month. We already brought you the unboxing, photogallery and benchmarks of the smartphone, here we have the camera samples of the smartphone. Sony Xperia E3 and E3 Dual launched in India for Rs. 11990 and Rs. 12990

Sony has launched the Xperia E3 and Xperia E3 Dual, the company’s latest smartphones in the E series. Both these smartphones were unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month and come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA touch screen display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Spice Dream UNO Android One Phone Unboxing and First Impressions

It’s Android One day today and we’ve got one of the first smartphones from the program with us, the Spice Dream UNO. Spice was one of the three manufacturers chosen for the program announced at the Google’s IO conference back in June. The Indian manufacturer, along with fellow competitors Micromax and Karbonn, has launched its first Android One device today, with a lot of support from Google. The Dream UNO, which is based off a strict chassis mandated by Google has its chipset powered by MediaTek and has almost the same specifications as the other phones that launched today. Priced at Rs. 6,299, the Dream Uno fulfills the idea of Android One, an affordable high quality device with stock Android that’s set to receive updates as fast as Google delivers them, so how is the device? Spice has launched the Dream UNO Mi-498, the company’s first Android One smartphone. It surfaced on Flipkart recently and packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 35GB of Google Drive storage, Spice Cloud app with 10GB of storage and pre-loaded apps. Micromax has launched the Canvas A1, the company’s first Android One smartphone in partnership with Google, as we expected. The smartphone was teased at Google I/O back in June. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Android One adds 9 new OEM partners and Qualcomm chipset support

The Android One launch event, presided by Sundar Pichai, is underway in India at the moment. One of the key announcements of this new program from Google, is the addition of 9 new OEM partners and, unsurprisingly, Qualcomm chipset support. This comes after the initial announcement at Google IO, of four partners, Karbonn, Micromax and Spice being the OEMs and Mediatek chipset support, mainly targeted at the Indian market, but it seems like Android One will take the global route with the new OEMs.

Google launches Android One smartphones in India

Google today launched the Android One India with three smartphones from three different manufacturers. These include, Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO. These are priced starting from Rs. 6,299 and are based on Android One reference hardware, comes with stock Android KitKat software and will get software updates directly from Google. It has promised to provide updates for the smartphones for up to two years and also confirmed that these are some of the first phones to get the new Android L update. Karbonn has launched Sparkle V, the company’s first Android One smartphone in India. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. These specifications are similar to the Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498 that would also go on sale later today. Only the design and the dimensions of the smartphone are different. UberX expands to Chennai, Mumbai and Pune

Uber has launched uberX, a low-cost Uber service cheaper than the UberBLACK in Chennai, Mumbai and Pune. It was launched in India back in June starting from Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The base fare varies between Rs.30 and Rs. 50 depending on the city. Rate per minute and kilometer are also cheaper in uberX compared to UberBLACK. Few hours back Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498, the company’s first Android One smartphone appeared on Flipkart briefly, before it was pulled. Micromax will also launch its Android One smartphone on September 15

Micromax has confirmed its plans to launch its Android One smartphone on September 15, the same day as the Google’s event in India. It will be exclusively available on Amazon.in. Earlier today Karbonn teased its Android One smartphone launch exclusively on Snapdeal and Spice teased its Android One device, which will be exclusively available on Flipkart on September 15th.

Sony Xperia Z3 launching in India on September 19 [Update]

Sony is all set to launch the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India on September 19th. It was unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month and is currently on pre-order across several countries worldwide. Even though the display and the camera are similar to the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 has a more brighter screen, powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box.
