Sony has sent out press invites for the launch of the company’s latest Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium flagship smartphones in India on October 21st. Both these were announced at the IFA last month in Berlin. These smartphones pack a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Sony G lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera with EXMOR R sensor. Panasonic has launched two new smartphones, P50 Idol and P65 Flash in India. The Panasonic P50 Idol packs a 5-inch HD screen, while the P65 Flash comes with a 5.5-inch HD display. Both these smartphones are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), have a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Airtel has finally announced that it will offer the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus smartphones in India. It has already started taking pre-orders for the new iPhones at its stores and will start selling them from October 16th, which is the launch date of the new iPhones in India. Zagg officially launched their products in India last month through their distributor – Brilyant. One of the first products they’re offering is the Zagg Pocket which is a foldable bluetooth keyboard and we did the unboxing.
Xiaomi has finally launched the Mi Portable USB fan in India. The Mi portable fan comes with a body that has a motor and a USB port. The plastic blade needs to be attached to the top and has a flexible body, similar to the Mi LED light that was launched earlier this year. It only makes 25.8db of noise, says the company. The Nexus 6P packs a 5.7-inch Quad HD display at 518 PPI, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 12.3-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, IR Laser assisted autofocus and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has anodized aluminium body and is just 7.3mm thick. Following its announcement last month, Uber has officially launched it uberPOOL service in Bangalore. The ride sharing service will let users share the ride and cost with another person who is requesting a ride along a similar route.

Motorola launched the Moto G (2nd Gen) in India last year at a price tag of Rs. 12,999, which currently retails for Rs. 9,999 after several price cut. Today the company has launched the 4G version of the smartphone called the Moto G (2nd Gen) 4G. It comes with similar specifications as the 3G version, including a 5-inch HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, dual front-facing speakers and Dual SIM support, but this has a 2390mAh battery in addition to 4G connectivity with support for 4G bands for India. OnePlus is the latest international company that has joined the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The Chinese smartphone maker has partnered with the popular contract manufacturer Foxconn for local production of smartphones in the country.
