Redmi 9 Prime gets MIUI 12 Global Stable update in India [Download Link]

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9 Prime back in August in India. To those unaware, Xiaomi sells the same smartphone as Redmi 9 in other markets. Redmi 9 Prime’s POCO sibling, POCO M2 started receiving MIUI 12 global stable update in India a couple of weeks ago. Now, Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12 stable update for Redmi 9 Prime users in India. With this update, Xiaomi concludes MIUI 12 roll-out for all it’s Redmi 9 series devices in India.

Vivo has launched Y51A, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the Y series in India after the launch of Y51 last month. vivo confirms Android 11 Funtouch OS 11 update for range of smartphones in India

vivo launched its V20 smartphone in India back in October last year running Android 11 based Funtouch OS 11. The vivo X50 Pro and the V20 Pro smartphones got the update in India last month. Now it has confirmed that the beta update will roll out for its older phones in India starting this January. Redmi 7A starts receiving Android 10 based MIUI 12 Stable Update in India

The Android 10 based update comes as MIUI 12.0.1.0.QCMINXM, and brings December Android security patch to the device. Samsung now lets you pre-reserve Galaxy S21 series in India ahead of launch

Update: January 7, 2021: realme has now announced realme UI 2.0 Open Beta program for realme Narzo 20 users in India. Users can head over to Settings > Software Update > Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner > Trial Version > Submit your details > Apply Now. As soon as the application procedure is completed, users will receive Android 11 based realme UI 2.0 update on their device.

Vi commences migration of 3G spectrum to 4G in Delhi NCR

Vodafone Idea today announced that it is working on refarming 3G spectrum to 4G across all sites in Delhi & NCR. This development includes the deployment of 5 MHz of 2100 MHz spectrum band, meaning that Vi customers in Delhi will get to enjoy higher download and upload speeds apart from better indoor coverage.
