The Nokia Lumia 710 seems to have got a nice price cut at a couple of online retailers in India.FlipKart is quoting Rs.15699 for the device and LetsBuy seems to be cheaper at Rs.15490. The device is the one of the most affordable Windows Phone devices in the market currently. It packs a 3.7 inch display, powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and packs a 5 MP Camera. Reuters is reporting that the world’s largest e-commerce site Amazon.com is in the process of setting up it’s first fulfillment center at Mumbai in India. Reuters is stating this based on certain job openings on Amazon India’s career portal. Amazon already has a presence in India in Chennai , Bangalore and Hyderabad but these centers only handle R&D and customer service.

Spice Mi-270 has seen a major price cut and is now available in India for Rs. 3399 . This makes it the cheapest Dual SIM Android phone in the market till date. It was launched last year for Rs. 6499. This has Dual-SIM support with standby and has 2.8-inch (240 x 320 pixels ) resistive touch screen display, 416MHz processor, 2MP camera and runs on Android v2.2 (Froyo). Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro has seen a price drop in India, which is now available for Rs. 19,999. The Xperia Pro is a QWERTY slider phone which was unveiled at MWC 2011 earlier this year and Sony Ericsson launched the Xperia Pro in India last October for Rs. 24,000. It features a 3.7 inch (854 x 480 Pixels) touchscreen display and full slide out QWERTY keypad. It packs a 8.1 MP camera with LED Flash and secondary VGA camera on the back. BSNL has launched an unlimited 3G plan for pre-paid and post-paid customers in Chennai. This offers speed up to 3.6 Mbps till 5GB, and after that speed would be throttled to 100 Kbps. They offered 3G unlimited iPad plans few months back but stopped it suddenly. This is not a lot but you get unlimited usage even after the 3G data limit. Apple might open it’s own Retail Stores in India soon according to a report by LiveMint which quotes an unnamed source in a government body Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion. The Indian government has approved 100% Foreign Direct Investment FDI in Single Brand Retail recently. So such a move by Apple will not be surprising,as they have massive expansion plans for Asia. Apple has not commented much about India in particular in the past but the quick launch of the iPad 2 with decent pricing and iPhone 4S with crazy pricing are indications of things to come. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has announced that all Telecom service providers should publish their Tariff Plan details regularly to let the customers know about the changes. They should also publish the tariff details in at least one Newspaper of regional language and one English newspaper at an interval not more than 6 months. ACE in white looks quite stunning. Now its preloaded with Android 2.3.5 which provides performance boost to the ACE. It is quite smooth and snappy out of the box compared to Android 2.2 (Froyo). Other that the software it is similar to the black version of the Galaxy Ace The current MOP of ACE White edition is Rs. 14500/- in Mumbai, India.
BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.), in partnership with Itz Cash Card Ltd., has launched TRUST Card, a co-branded multi service prepaid card in India as they announced last year. This is a semi-closed card that would let the card holders pay postpaid bill, prepaid top ups and other utility bills easily. Sony Ericsson has launched the Live with Walkman in India. This is the successor of the Walkman W8 and Mix Walkman and features dedicated Walkman hardware button and it also comes with . It has 3.2-inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It was available for pre-order last month from online retailers last month and available for purchase later. Nokia has been voted as India’s Most Trusted Brand again and retains their first position from the last year according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Trust Research Advisory (TRA). In the telecom sector, Airtel leads by retaining the same 9th spot as last year. The Brand Trust Report, India Study, 2012 (BTR 2012) has listed India’s 1000 Most Trusted Brands and this research was conducted among 2718 ‘influencer’ respondents across 15 cities. HUAWEI IDEOS X3 is another entry level 3G Android Gingerbread device launched in India for Rs. 9990/- (MOP). It has 3.2” TFT LCD HVGA display and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 SOC (System on Chip) running at 600MHz. IDEOS X3 has a 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM. This device is actually unique as even it is a entry level Android smartphone, X3 has a premium design with curved body and nice soft touch matt plastic covering all back side of the device. Overall the device feels quite solid in hand. The X3 has VGA FFC (Front Facing Camera) for Internet Video Calls. The display is quite bright and due to its size (3.2”) and HVGA resolution it was quite sharp for our eyes. The X3 has 3.2MP Fixed Focus main camera without LED Flash. MTNL Mumbai has launched BlackBerry services for it’s Prepaid Customers. Earlier these plans were available on postpaid.There is a BlackBerry BIS Lite plan which offers unlimited email and BBM for Rs.251 per month.
