Airtel Money – Mobile Payment Service now available across India


Airtel has expanded its Airtel Money, Mobile Payment Service that is now available in 300+ key cities across India. This enables the Airtel Money users load cash on their mobile devices and spend it to pay utility bills and recharges, shop at 7,000+ merchant outlets, transact online etc. They launched the Airtel Money services last year starting with Delhi NCR and expanded it to Chennai in May 2011. INTEX launches 3G wireless data card for Rs. 2820

MTNL Mumbai launches 2 Mbps Broadband plan for Rs. 25 per month

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has launched a new 2Mbps Broadband plan called Broadband for Every Home at just Rs. 25 per month.This plan costs Rs.300 for 12 months (1 year) that offers broadband access with speeds up to 2 Mbps (effective cost Rs.25/month) and it comes with free usage of 50 MB per month (total 600 MB data usage). BlackBerry Torch 9860 Review


Here is the FoneArena review of the BlackBerry Torch 9860. You saw the hands-on images of the phone few months back. This is a full touch phone that is the successor or the BlackBerry Storm 2. RIM launched the BlackBerry Torch 2 in India last September. Everything has been refreshed since the Storm 2. The BlackBerry Torch 9860 has 3.7 inch capacitive touch-screen display, 4 GB onboard memory that is expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD and has 768 MB RAM. It is 11.5 mm thick and weighs  135 g. Samsung says its the No.1 Smartphone brand in India

When I was checking out some news sites ,  I noticed an unusual thank you banner and the Samsung logo and decided to check it out. It took me to a landing page which is a thank you page for Samsung mobile users. Samsung says that it is currently the No.1 Smartphone brand in India according to the promo. It is quoting a GfK nielsen India Retail Store Audit Report for mobile phones in 50,000+population towns in November 2011. Samsung claims to have a market share of 37.9% in Smartphones in that month for that particular segment.

Samsung Omnia W price drops to Rs. 15200


Samsung Omnia W has seen a price cut in India. It was launched in India for Rs. 20,900 last December. It has 3.7 (800 x 480 pixels) inch Super AMOLED display, 5MP AF Camera with LED Flash and VGA front camera.
