Looks like Videocon is on a roll. The company launched A20 and A30, affordable dual-SIM Android smartphones earlier this week, now their first tablet Videocon VT10 is on sale from online retailers, Snapdeal and HomeShop18. This tablet has a 10-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 2MP rear and front-facing cameras. It also comes with pre-loaded apps including NexGtv, Saavn ,Facebook, Nimbuzz and more. Cycloramic is a new iPhone app that uses iPhone 5’s vibrating motors to spin the phone automatically while capturing a panoramic video . You need to put the iPhone 5 on a smooth, hard and level surface, choose number of turns, and front or back camera and press the “GO” button for it to capture a panoramic video in 720p or 1080p resolution. There are several apps for the iPhone to take 360 degree panoramas, but this is the only app that spins the iPhone automatically. Huawei Ascend G330 is now available for purchase from online retailer Snapdeal in India. Most of the features in the G330 are similar to the Huawei Ascend G300 that was launched in India back in July, including a 4-inch ( 800×480 pixels) IPS capactive touch screen display and a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, but the Ascend G330 comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box and comes with a front-facing camera. Videocon has entered into the Smartphone segment with the launched of A20 and A30, affordable Android Smartphones in India. These are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Processors and has Dual SIM support with Dual Standby. The A20 comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz processor 3MP rear Camera and a VGA front-facing camera, while the A30 comes with a 4.0-inch WVGA display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. HTC has started the roll out of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in some markets including UK. We had access to a UK unit and a massive 600 MB update showed up via OTA today. The update bears the version number 3.16.401.8 and measures 612.27 MB.We decided to give it a go and it was the much awaited jelly bean update. HTC had promised that it will release Android 4.1 JellyBean for the One S and One X this year and looks like the Taiwanese phone maker is keeping its word ! Intex has launched the iBuddy Connect, a new 7-inch tablet in the iBuddy range. Most of the features are similar to the 7-inch i-Buddy tablet that was launched earlier this year, but this comes with a SIM card slot and supports voice calling features. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and comes with a 2MP rear camera other than the VGA front-facing camera. Facebook has finally launched a new app called Poke for iPhone as rumored. This app would let you send a message, photo, or video to Facebook friends that expires after a specific time (1, 3, 5 or 10 seconds). This message disappears after the specified time. Earlier this month, Facebook for Android got updated allowing new users to sign up using their name and phone number without a Facebook account. Dropbox for Android introduced photos tabs for uploads back in October, now they have released a new Beta version that enhances the photos tab. The new 2.2.2.8 experimental build for Android brings option select, share , delete and create albums from the photos tab. The Dropbox for iPhone and iPad got the Photos tab in the version 2.0 update last week but these new features are not available yet. This would let you browse the app easily on Android tablets with the new UI optimized for tablets. The tablet interface has a sidebar with topics and offers four pages of tiles to browse quickly. SwiftKey now includes support for 54 different languages. Nuance introduced introduced support for Hinglish keyboard in Swype for Android earlier this year. SwiftKey is also offering both the SwiftKey 3.1 for Android Phones and Tablets at a 50% discount for a limited period, just like last year. We had just unboxed the Nokia Lumia 920 a few days back and are pleasantly surprised by its camera performance, especially in the video recording department. So, we gathered up two other phones(with point and shoot rivaling cameras) namely the Nokia 808 PureView and the Samsung Galaxy S3 from our labs and put the three to test in terms of full HD 1080p video recording.
