Oppo entered into the Indian market with the Oppo N1 and later introduced the Oppo Neo, Find 5 Mini and Oppo R1 in the Indian market. It plans to expand its portfolio to over 10 mobile phones across different categories in India by December 2014. Sprint rolls out Android 4.4.3 update for Nexus 5

U.S. carrier Sprint has announced that it would roll out Android 4.4.3 update (Build KTU84F) for the Nexus 5 users starting from April 14th. This is a minor upgrade that would enable LTE bands 26 and 41 and also bring some enhancements and bug fixes. Earlier reports revealed that Google would roll out Android 4.4.3 update for the Nexus devices to fix several bugs, including camera related fixes. Asus has launched the Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM (ME175CG) with dual SIM support in India as we reported last week. It was announced at the MWC 2014 earlier this year and packs a 7-inch (1280 x 800) HD LED Backlit IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). Asus launched the Fonepad 7, a 7-inch tablet with 3G, 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor and voice calling capabilities in India last year. Universal Windows apps start showing up on the Windows Phone 8.1 Store

Just after rolling out the Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview, universal Windows apps, the key factor Microsoft aims to attract developers with, are already starting to show up on the store. Microsoft announced this new addition, along with several other enhancements to the developer side of things on Windows Phone, in a blog post today. Developers can now link their Windows Phone apps and Windows apps, as Microsoft has unified the Store front on both the platforms, with the same pricing and even streamlined in-app purchases. Apple has been allowing universal apps between the two form factors iOS is based on, but Microsoft is taking it to another level with support for all of its consumer platforms that occupy a wide range of form factors, from phones to tablets to desktops and even its Xbox gaming console on a TV.

PayPal launches biometric authentication for the Samsung Galaxy S5 in 25 countries

PayPal has announced that the fingerprint-based authentication system for the Galaxy S5 is available in 25 countries. This lets users just login to PayPal on mobile web sites, mobile apps and in stores with their fingerprint.
