HTC recently announced the smaller version of their flagship – HTC One as the new HTC One Mini. Apple’s iPhone 5 is nearly an year old and Apple have already announced their newer Apple iPhone 5S. Both the devices are world’s apart except for their sizes. HTC One Mini has a 4.3inch display which is close to Apple’s 4inch RETINA display. Assassins Creed Pirates coming this year to Android and iOS

Assasin’s Creed is a very successful gaming series by Ubisoft for PC and gaming consoles. Assasin’s Creed Pirates is a standalone game for the mobile platform and it will be available for iOS and Android this year. The game is currently in development in Ubisoft center at Paris.

700 million iOS devices expected to be sold by the end of October

Like any other Apple event, the event started off with numbers from the past discussing the sales and success that the previous generation iPhones have had. This time, Tim Cook had an interesting fact and said that, by the end of October, nearly 700 million iOS devices would have been sold. At June, during the WWDC, Apple had announced that it has sold close to 600 million iOS devices till then. iOS devices include – iPhones, iPod Touches, iPads and iPad Mini.

Microsoft has finally released the Xbox Music app for Android and iOS devices. This lets you enjoy your favorite music from a collection of over 30 million tracks, discover new songs, albums, and artists right from your smartphone. Microsoft has promised that they would bring offline mode to Android and iOS in the coming months. Microsoft has also launched free streaming to Web player and Radio with unlimited dynamic playlist would be available for Android, iOS and the web player later this year.

Microsoft OneNote for iPhone and iPad updated to v2.1, iPad app gets SkyDrive notebooks

Microsoft has updated its OneNote app for iPhone and iPad to version 2.1 that brings several improvements including, om proved Japanese typing responsiveness, Automatic list detection that lets you spend less time formatting your content and lots of bug fixes. The iPad app  now has support for creating new SkyDrive notebooks and also now lets you  add, rename and delete sections. The iPhone app is now less than half the size in download and installation size. OneNote for iPhone and iPad got a major update back in July that brought lot of new features.

Apple reportedly testing 6 inch iPhones

Apple is all set to announce its next iPhone – iPhone 5S and its cheaper version of iPhone – iPhone 5C next week on September 10th. We have had various leaks and rumors suggesting that Apple was indeed testing a bigger iPhone and a larger iPad and today we have more information from The Wall Street Journal that Apple is testing iPhones ranging from 4.8inch – 6inch.

China Telecom almost confirms iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C release

For the first time, Apple is hosting two events for the launch of their premium iPhone. The first event is scheduled on September 10th at Apple’s HQ in Cupertino and the second event is planned for Sept 11 in China. According to the rumor-mill, it is believed that Apple will be launching two iPhones this time – iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Yahoo! has updated the Flickr app for iPhone with a new camera and photo filters. Yahoo! acquired GhostBird Software, creators of popular iOS photography apps KitCam, and the new features are result of it, created by GhostBird Software team. The update brings live inline filters and editing capabilities, Live Filters let you see how your photo looks while you take it. Twitter has updated both the Android (v 4.1.6)and iPhone (v5.10) apps with a new conversation view. Now, Tweets that are part of a conversation are shown in chronological order. Up to three Tweets are shown in a sequence in the home timeline, once you tap a Tweet, you can see all the replies, including those from people you don’t follow.
