Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet gets Android 4.0 OTA update in India

Lenovo ThinkPad tablet has received the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update in India. It is also available in United States, UK, Europe and other countries worldwide. Lenovo launched the ThinkPad Tablet in India last October and announced the ICS update for the tablet earlier this February. This update would offer improved browser with save it for later option and Voice input that would let you dictate text. There is no Face Unlock feature as they announced. It is one of the first, fully integrated GDS powered travel itinerary apps. HTC EVO 3D Android 4.0 update starts rolling out in India

HTC has announced on the their Facebook page that they have stared rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for EVO 3D in India. The HTC EVO 3D was launched in India last August at at hefty price tag of Rs.35,990 (MRP) and later got a price cut that brought the price down to Rs. 25,000. HTC announced the global Android 4.0 update schedule last month and started rolling out Android 4.0 update for Sensation XL India earlier this week. LG Optimus Vu Android 4.0 Value Pack update starts rolling out in Korea

LG has started rolling rolling out the Android 4.0 update which they call ‘Value Pack’ update, in Korea for the LG Optimus Vu as promised. This update would bring new  Optimus UI 3.0, Quick Voice, intelligent Voice recognition app that they launched last week. Google Nexus 7 Price Revealed – $199 takes on the Amazon Kindle Fire

Google has announced it’s first Nexus branded tablet in partnership with Asus and it has announced the price of the 7 inch tablet. Consumers can order the tablet from the Google Play Store directly. The tablet will be available for $199 starting from mid-July.  Looks like Google is taking on the Amazon Kindle Fire which is priced exactly the same. MediaTek launches MT6577 dual-core platform aimed at sub-$200 Android 4.0 smartphones

Semiconductor manufacturer MediaTek has announced MT6577, a new dual-core platform developed specifically for sub-$200 smartphones. It features a dual 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, PowerVR Series5 SGX GPU from Imagination Technologies and MediaTek’s proven 3G/HSPA modem. It runs on the latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. Meizu MX Quad-core, successor of the Meizu MX would go on sale in Mainland China and Hong Kong on June 30, 2012. It has 4-inch (960 x 640 pixels) ASV display with 292 PPI, 1.4GHz  quad-core Exynos processor, 8MP BSI camera with an f/2.2 lens, 1080p video recording and Flash. HTC announced the global Android 4.0 update schedule last month.
