Vodafone already announced that it will launch 4G services in India by December 2015. It also said that Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Kochi circles will get 4G first. Today the operator has announced that it will roll out 4G services in Delhi/NCR region by December 2015. “Key corridors of Delhi/NCR will be part of the first wave of the 4G roll-out, which will be launched across the circle in a phased manner”, said Vodafone. Vodafone India today announced that it will roll out 4G services in the country by December 2015. Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Kochi will be the first set of cities to get Vodafone 4G in the first wave of the roll-out by the end of the calendar year 2015. It has already started testing 4G services and has roped in technology infrastructure service providers for the network roll-out. Vodafone India has launched a limited period Double Data offer for its pre-paid customers. Under this offer, users get 2GB 3G data on purchase of 1GB 3G pack and 4GB 3G data on purchase of 2GB 3G pack from July 4th to 6th. Extra Benefit will be credited within 30 minutes post successful recharge, says the company, but we got the extra data immediately. These packs come with a validity of 28 days. Airtel, Vodafone to roll out Pan-India Mobile Number Portability from July 3

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) extended the deadline to implement the full mobile number portability (MNP) across India from May till July, 2015. Today, Vodafone and Airtel have announced that they will launch National Mobile Number Portability (NMNP) from July 3rd. Nationwide MNP allows subscribers retain their numbers even if they move to another state, irrespective of the service provider. MWC: A week with Vodafone Eurotraveller

Just over a week ago we were in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress 2015 and, as I have done for many years now, I used my Vodafone SIM card with EuroTraveller to provide me data whilst on the ground. It’s been a year since we were last in MWC and in that time, Vodafone have introduced 4G Roaming in Spain alongside double speed 4G across their European network.

Traditionally Barcelona has really poor mobile data speeds (whether using a local SIM or roaming) during the MWC week as 90,000+ people descend upon the city for the annual conference. Ahead of the trip, I expected the traditional data coverage and speeds issues with previous years suggesting large ping times, really slow speeds and overall, a lack of reliable data.
