Airtel today announced that it is planning a massive network deployment plans for Mumbai as part of its network transformation initiative – Project Leap. During the FY 18-19, Airtel plans to roll out 7000 new mobile sites including the large-scale deployment of pre-5G Massive MIMO technology across Mumbai to significantly boost network capacity for high-speed data and voice services. Airtel TV app for Android clocks 50 million downloads; free subscription for all customers extended till December 2018

Back in December last year Airtel updated its Airtel TV app that offers Live TV channels as well as Regional & International content. It also announced that the entire content catalogue of Airtel TV will be available for its users on a free subscription basis till June 2018. Today the company has announced that the Airtel TV Android app has crossed 50 million downloads with 40 million download in just 9 months, since it hit 10 million in August 2017. Vodafone launches one day unlimited calling pack for Rs. 9 in UP East

Vodafone today launched one-day unlimited calling pack for its pre-paid users in Uttar Pradesh at just Rs. 9. It also  offers 100 SMS and 100MB of 2G/3G/4G data, which will also expire over the midnight. The pack will be useful for more than 60000 towns and villages in the circle believes Vodafone. The company launched a similar pack for Rs. 19 last year.

Airtel completes acquisition of Telenor India

Airtel today announced that it has completed the acquisition Telenor India, after a year of entering into an agreement to acquire Telenor India’s running operations in seven circles – Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat, UP (East), UP (West) and Assam, and transfer of all of Telenor India’s assets including spectrum, licenses and operations, including its employees and customer base of 44 million as well as outstanding spectrum payments and other operational contracts, including tower lease.
