Gionee announced the Elife E7 at an event in Shanghai, China last month. Gionee has just sent us an invite for the launch event in India on December 24th. It packs a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS touch screen display based on One Glass Solution from JDI with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 2.33mm ultra-narrow frame, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Amigo 2.0 UI. It packs a 16-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 1/2.3″ 1.34 µm Largan M8 sensor, 5 element Sapphire Lens and a 8-megapixel auto focus front-facing camera. Maxx Mobile launched 15 new devices including 4 Android smartphones and a tablet earlier this year. Now two new Android smartphones, the Maxx AX51 and the AX505 DUO are available for sale from the official site. Both these phones have a 5-inch (480 x 854 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a dual-core Mediatek MT6572W processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Asus has launched Transformer Book Trio that can run dual operating systems – Windows 8 Pro and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 11.6-inch (1920×1080 pixels) 16:9 detachable display and lets you switch between a Windows 8 notebook, Android tablet and Windows 8 desktop PC. The PC Station dock is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor, has a keyboard and packs 500GB hard drive. The PC Station also offers extended battery. In the tablet mode, it is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor that runs on Android Jelly Bean and can be also connected to an external display. LG G Flex showcased in India, launching in February 2014

LG has showcased the G Flex, the company’s first smartphone with a curved OLED display in India at an event in Delhi. It would go on sale sometime in February 2014. The company did not reveal the price yet. It was announced back in October and packs a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Curved Plastic OLED display that vertically concave from top to bottom to a radius of 700mm. It is powered by a 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel to share telecom infrastructure

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio Infocomm would share their telecom infrastructure to cut the cost on their networks, according to a report from PTI. This includes optic fiber network – inter and intra city, submarine cable networks, towers and broadband services. This might also be extended to roaming on 2G, 3G and 4G, and any other mutually benefiting areas relating to telecommunication in near future. It was announced last month and packs a 5-inch (854 ×480 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom (BCM23550) processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash and 720p HD video recording and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with dual standby, similar to other Xolo smartphones.

Google’s Great Online Shopping Festival #GOSF is back, great deals from December 11th to 13th

Great Online Shopping Festival, aka GOSF, by Google was an initiative by the Mountain View company to bring a “Cyber Monday” like deals bonanza to India last year, and it is back again this year, with more partners and of course, more deals. Unlike Black Friday, Cyber Monday and GOSF are online-only, and Google aims to attract the eager buyers of the legion of Indian internet shoppers, with deals on a single platform. That single platform is the website – GOSF.in, which lists all the partners and even has a countdown for the first day of the shopping festival, which begins on December 11th and ends on the 13th. 3 days, over 200 partners including all major e-tailers, and hopefully insane deals.
