Byond Phablet PIII smartphone with 6-inch display, Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 14499

Byond Tech, popular for the Mi-Book series of tablets has launched Phablet III, an Android smartphone with a 6-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and 1GHz dual-core processor. It comes with dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support with dual Standby and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It comes with a 8MP rear camera wih LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Even though it has a large screen like a table, it has functions of a smartphone, but there are no details about the RAM and internal memory yet. Videocon VT10 10-inch tablet running Android 4.1 now available for Rs. 11200

Looks like Videocon is on a roll. The company launched A20 and A30, affordable dual-SIM Android smartphones earlier this week, now their first tablet Videocon VT10 is on sale from online retailers, Snapdeal and HomeShop18. This tablet has a 10-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 2MP rear and front-facing cameras. It also comes with pre-loaded apps including NexGtv, Saavn ,Facebook, Nimbuzz and more. 10 million Samsung Galaxy devices sold in India

Samsung India has announced that they have sold 10 million Galaxy devices in India, since the Galaxy S, their first Galaxy device that was launched in India in June 2010. Samsung did not reveal the exact numbers for each devices, but said that the Samsung SIII, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Y has contributed to more that 50% of the sales. Huawei Ascend G330 now available in India for Rs. 10990

Huawei Ascend G330 is now available for purchase from online retailer Snapdeal in India. Most of the features in the G330 are similar to the Huawei Ascend G300 that was launched in India back in July, including a 4-inch ( 800×480 pixels) IPS capactive touch screen display and a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, but the Ascend G330 comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box and comes with a front-facing camera. Videocon A20 and A30 Dual SIM Android Smartphones launched for Rs. 4999 and Rs. 7299

Videocon has entered into the Smartphone segment with the launched of A20 and A30, affordable Android Smartphones in India. These are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Processors and has Dual SIM support with Dual Standby. The A20 comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1GHz processor 3MP rear Camera and a VGA front-facing camera, while the A30 comes with a 4.0-inch WVGA display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. These phones also come with pre-loaded apps including Facebook, TOI, ET, History Eraser and more. Vodafone India has launched customer support through live chat. This service lets Vodafone customers chat to the customer care executive to solve their queries about their connection. This saves a lot of time since it connects quickly, unlike a call to customer support that would have several procedures before it connects to a customer care executive. Zync launches 6 Dual SIM feature phones, priced between Rs. 1399 and Rs. 2499

Zync has launched range of Dual SIM feature phones, Zync C18, Zync C21, Zync C22, Zync C24, Zync C27 and the Zync C30 in India. The company entered into the Smartphone market in October with the Zync Cloud Z5, a 5-inch phablet. These new phones support Dual SIM (GSM+GSM) support with Dual Standby and comes with a loudspeaker, 4GB micro SD card, USB connectivity, Bluetooth, dual LED torch light, 1.3 MP with video recording, music player, FM radio and more. Intex iBuddy Connect 7-inch tablet with Voice calling, Android 4.0 launched for Rs 7,990

Intex has launched the iBuddy Connect, a new 7-inch tablet in the iBuddy range. Most of the features are similar to the 7-inch i-Buddy tablet that was launched earlier this year, but this comes with a SIM card slot and supports voice calling features. It has a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and comes with a 2MP rear camera other than the VGA front-facing camera. Jabra has launched Jabra TOUR, Bluetooth in-car speakerphone in India. It has large 40mm 3-watt speaker that offers superior audio output and has HD Voice microphone for enhanced noise cancellation capabilities. This also lets you launch the Siri app on their iPhones to get driving directions, create quick calendar entries and more functions with a dedicated Voice Command button. It has motion sensor system which automatically turns on and off when users enter or leave their cars, thus eliminating unnecessary battery rundown when not in use. Reliance to test voice services on 4G networks

Coming from an Economic Times article, it looks like Reliance Industries limited (RIL) is all set to get approval from the telecom department (DoT) for testing voice services on its yet-to-be-launched 4G networks. This comes as a surprise as Airtel has been the only 4G player as of now, with limited network distribution.

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy Note 2 users in India. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was launched in India back in September with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, but got the Multi-Window or Multiscreen feature in a OTA update later.
