Obi Mobiles has announced the launch of its operations in the India after several reports. The company is based in Gurgaon and is promoted by Inflexionpoint, popular IT supply chain company co-founded by John Sculley, Ex CEO of Apple. The OBI Mobiles team is headed by Ajay Sharma as CEO, former head of smartphone division in Micromax and HTC and Neeraj Chauhan, CEO of Inflexionpoint for IT and Telecom supply chain aggregation. Nokia X gets a price cut in India, now available for Rs. 7027

Nokia launched the Nokia X in India last month priced at Rs. Rs. 8599. It received a price cut recently and is available for as low as Rs. 7027. The Nokia X is the first smartphone from Nokia based on Android. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 play (MSM8225) processor and runs on Nokia X software platform based on AOSP Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Lava has launched the Iris 504Q+, the successor of last year’s Iris 504Q. It has a similar 5-inch HD display based on OGS technology and runs on Android 4.2, but this is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and has a 10-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS sensor and LED flash. It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has gesture motion and voice controls to capture images using the voice command and the gesture feature lets users change tracks, switch between homescreens, tune FM channels and browse gallery.

Airtel launches Night Store for unlimited on-net local calling and internet all night

Airtel has launched Night Store, new night packs that would let pre-paid users enjoy unlimited on-net (Airtel to Airtel) voice calls and 2G data. It also offers limited 3G data with select packs in 3G circles and free Facebook access. These packs are applicable between 12AM to 6AM and is valid for one night. These packs are not applicable for customer who already has an active Unlimited 2G or 3G pack. India has become the number one country in the world to make maximum requests for content censorship on Facebook. The world’s largest social revealed in its Second Transparency Report that the Indian Government made 3,598 requests and asked for access to over 4,711 accounts.
