MTS that operates under Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) has launched the Duet, the company’s latest dual SIM Android smartphone. The phone has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) HVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It supports CDMA on SIM card and GSM on the other. The phone comes bundled with voice & data plan. It comes with 3-megapixel rear camera, supports expandable memory up to 32GB and packs a 1200 mAh battery. Celkon launched the A119Q Signature HD last month. It is the successor of the A119 Signature HD that was launched back in March. The Celkon A119 had a 1 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6577 processor with PowerVR SGX 531 GPU, the A119Q is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It has 2G connectivity through a SIM card slot and supports voice calling. Micromax A116 Canvas HD has received the Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) update as the company promised. The A116 Canvas HD was launched with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Micromax launched the A110Q Canvas Plus last month that runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. The Micromax A110 Canvas 2 got the Android 4.1 update back in March. The Micromax A116 update would also be available from the Micromax Service Centers where the users can take their devices to get it flashed to Android 4.2 without any cost. Karbonn ties up with Vodafone, offers bundled data with Titanium S5 and Smart A12

Karbonn has announced that they have tied up with Vodafone India to offer free data on purchase of the Karbonn Titanium S5 and the Smart A12. This would let the Karbonn Titanium S5 buyers enjoy 1GB of 3G or 3G Unlimited Internet Plan free for 3 Months on Vodafone. First time Vodafone 3G customers using Karbonn A12 would get 500 MB  of 3G and 2G Internet Plan free for 2 months.  The company partnered with Airtel earlier this year to offer similar data packs with select smartphones. The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is yet another entrant into the already crowded “5 inch 720p screen, quad core processor” market that has been flooded with a lot of phones this year. Equipped with very similar specs to that of the various other smartphones in this price range, the device has landed in our office for testing. BlackBerry Q10 Launching in India on June 6th in Delhi

BlackBerry showed off the BlackBerry Q10 alongside the first BlackBerry 10 device the Z10 during the BlackBerry 10 launch event back in January this year.  The Q10 is already on sale in the UK where I got my hands on one. Now the 2nd BlackBerry 10 device is making its way to India. The company has sent to invites for a launch event in Delhi on June 6th and is expected to announce the Q10 for the Indian market.
