Aircel today launched its 4G services in India finally. It is available across four circles – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar and Odisha. Aircel becomes the second operator in India to offer 4G services after Airtel that already has 4G service in several cities. Reliance Jio recently announced that it would offer 4G services in 2015.
Other than these four circles, Aircel holds 20MHz of spectrum in the 4G LTE 2300 MHz band in four more circle that includes, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, North East and Jammu and Kashmir. The company is yet to announce 4G pricing.
Commenting on the launch, Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel said,
