Xiaomi MiPad-12

At the launch of Xiaomi Mi smartphones in India, the company also showcased the Mi Pad in India. We got to check out the tablet with a 7.9-inch display at the launch event. It was announced in China back in May and sold 50,000 units in just 3 minutes and 59 seconds on the launch day. It is still in beta testing in China and would come to India in future. Xiaomi MiPad-3

The tablet has a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi with 4:3 aspect ratio, manufactured by Sharp / AUO and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The iPad mini has a similar screen. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU. It runs on Android-based MiUI ROM.

Xiaomi MiPad-4

The tablet has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Xiaomi MiPad-5

The tablet has minimal bezel around the display. It has capacitive touch buttons.

Xiaomi MiPad-9

The power button and the volume rockers are present on the right side. These have chrome finish.

Xiaomi MiPad-11

On the left side there is a micro SD card slot that accepts cards up to 128GB. It has 2GB of RAM and comes in 16GB or 64GB memory variants. The tablet is just 8.5mm thick, but it weighs 360 grams, slightly heavier than the iPad mini.

Xiaomi MiPad-8

The tablet has plastic build on the back. It has WiFi 802.11/b/g/n/ac Dual Band (2X2 MIMO)

Xiaomi MiPad-7

There is a 8-megapixel camera on the back that has Sony BSI stacked sensor and f/2.0 aperture. It is capable of recording videos at 1080p full HD resolution. It also has a secondary microphone. You can also see the 3.5mm audio jack on top.

Xiaomi MiPad-6

There are two loudspeaker grills on the back. You can also see the micro USB slot on the bottom. In China the tablet is priced at 1499 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 14,500 approx.) and 1699 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 16,450 approx.) for the 16GB and 64GB memory variants.
