Nokia shows N96, Nokia 6210 Navigator, Nokia N78, Nokia 6220 classic, Nokia 3120 classic at Mobile Asia 2008

At the Mobile Asia 2008 showing, Nokia displayed most of its superb GPS handsets.

Touted to be the successor of Nokia N95, N96 is a slider phone with 16GB storage and the option to further enhance it with a MicroSD slot as well!!!

There is no word on how much the handset will cost in India. The European price is Euros 550, i.e. Rs 33,700 approx. Read on for more .. Mobile Asia 2008 in Delhi from today

Touted as India’s largest consumer exhibition on mobility, Mobile Asia 2008 is due to be inaugurated at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi today by the Honourable Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Sheila Dikshit.

The theme of the expo is GenNext aiming to showcase products that will change the way we look at communication; not just today, but in the years to come. Pankaj Mohindroo, National President ICA (Indian Cellular Association), said, “The next wave of growth in mobile subscribers will be primarily from the younger generation. LG KF700 for the all round web experience

A fully loaded handset with a web browser integrating Google Search, Gmail, Maps and YouTube, the LG KF700 unveiled at the MWC 2008 is an HSDPA phone that also makes video calls possible.

The USP in the words of LGE’s Press Release – “The world’s first phone with three separate input methods, the LG-KF700 itegrates a 3-inch touchscreen, alpha-numeric keypad and Shortcut Dial. Each of these input methods is assigned to the tasks at which it is most efficient, making LG’s highly intuitive interface possible. With its user-optimized navigation, all of the phone’s functions and features are instantly accessible.”

The Nokia 6210 Navigator proves Nokia’s interest and commitment to developing navigation handsets.

The handset has a GPS that sends information to Nokia Maps 2.0 and allows you to download information, even of additional points of interest via the HSDPA.

The 6210 Navigator has a S60 operating system and apart from capturing photos and playing music and radio, it also computes a route and provides visual and vocal turn-by-turn directions.
