ZUK Z2 announcement set for May 31, images and specifications surface

After the launch of ZUK Z2 Pro, Lenovo’s ZUK is all set to introduce the ZUK Z2, a smaller and affordable version of the phone at an event in China on May 31st. ZUK CEO Chang Cheng already shared an image of the smartphone and also confirmed that it will be powered by Samsung Exynos 8 Octa 8890 14nm 64-bit processor that powers the Galaxy S7 series. ZUK Z2 Pro with 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820, 6GB RAM, fingerprint sensor announced

Lenovo’s ZUK today introduced Z2 Pro, the company’s flagship smartphone at an event in China. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with 1.41mm narrow bezel on the side, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with ZUI 2.0 on top that also lets you sync with Apple’s iCloud. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and hybrid phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that can focus in 0.1 seconds and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. ZUK Z1 Review

ZUK is a new phone manufacturer that has received backing from Lenovo and the Z1 is their first smartphone. On paper, the device seems to boast quite an impressive set of features and specifications save for the older Snapdragon 801 processor that was seen in yesteryear’s smartphones. However, you can’t really write off a phone just because its processor is a bit old. After all, the OnePlus One is also powered by a Snapdragon 801 and even today, the smartphone is sought after by many and since the ZUK Z1 is also aimed at a similar price point, the phone does make sense. In this review, we take a look at how the phone performs in real life and whether that impressive specs sheets translates to an impressive all round performance in real life as well. We would also be comparing the phone to the OnePlus One which could be called its closest competitor.
