Samsung is known to announce its flagships in a its own event, but looks like things are about to change for the South Korean electronics giant. Samsung’s VP has stated that the company’s new flagship – Samsung Galaxy S5 will be announced during MWC 2014 that is scheduled in February.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Camera 2, successor of the first Galaxy Camera. The Galaxy Camera 2 has a 16.3 Megapixel 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor, 21x Optical Zoom Lens along with OIS support. It packs in a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch Display with 308 ppi, powered by a 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). This has a lightweight, retro design, has WiFi and NFC but lacks 4G LTE or 3G support that was present in the first camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 (SM-P900) was spotted at the FCC back in November 2013. The high-end tablet would be called Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2,, according to SamMobile that leaked the complete specifications of the tablet through AnTuTu Benchmarks screenshots. According to the earlier leak tablet is rumored to feature a 12.2-inch (2560×1600 pixels) display equipped with IGZO (Indum-Gallium Zinc Oxide) technology and Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 LTE (SM-P905) would have similar specifications of the WiFi variant and also come with 4G LTE radios, the new leak reveals. Samsung already has plans for huge line-up of smartphones and tablets for this year. Now the Samsung Grand Neo has been leaked, that has curved corners and Duos branding, similar to the Galaxy Grand. According to the SammyHub’s tipster, the Galaxy Grand Neo is expected to comes with a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and run on 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with TouchWiz UI on top. Samsung launched the Galaxy Star (GT-S5282), the company’s cheapest Android smartphone earlier this year. It launched the Samsung Galaxy Star Pro (GT-S7262), an upgraded version of the Star few months back, with a large screen, more internal storage and a slightly better battery. Samsung has sold 40 million Galaxy tablets in 2013, according to a recent report from a Korean publication, Financial News. Back in November at the Analyst Day 2013, Samsung announced that it aims to sell 40 million tablets and over 100 million Galaxy S and note devices in 2013. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 (SM-T320) has been spotted at the FCC. According to earlier rumors Samsung would launched this tablet along with the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 (SM-T520/T525) and Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (SM-P900/P905) sometime in Q1 2014. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is expected to feature a 8.4-inch screen, as the name indicates, come with Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac connectivity. It is also likely to come in a 4G LTE variant, similar to the Galaxy Tab 3.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Star Pro, the successor of the Galaxy Star back in October. We already unboxed the device earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Star Pro packs a 1 GHz single-core Spreadtrum SC6820 processor based on ARM Cortex A5 CPU and has Mali 400 GPU. The phone has a 4.0-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS with Samsung’s own Touchwiz UI on top. Since this is just an entry-level chip, the performance would obviously be just average. Let’s find out how it performs in a range of synthetic benchmark tests.

With CES just around the corner, Samsung has already started teasing what it has planned up for CES 2014. SamsungExynos’s Twitter account has teased asking if we are ready to #UnlockExynos. With UnlockExynos, it could possibly mean that Samsung are planning to update their current octa-core solution to true octa-core. Samsung was the first company to announce an octa-core processor and it featured in the Samsung Galaxy S4 which was launched earlier this year.

We recently unboxed the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 which was a budget smartphone from Samsung and today, we are unboxing yet another budget smartphone from Samsung – Samsung Galaxy Star Pro. The Samsung Galaxy Star Pro is the perfect definition of an entry level Android device. It just packs the bare minimum features necessary for Android to run.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy S4 earlier this year with a 5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p Display. A recent report published by the Korean news portal, DDaily states that Samsung has already begun mass production of 5.25-inch 2560 × 1440 pixels AMOLED screens for the Galaxy S5. The display will use the ‘diamond’ pixel arrangement, similar to the Galaxy S4 and the Note 3, the report says. Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 Review
The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is the much awaited successor to the S Duos which was the Samsung phone to get in the mid range not long ago. It had offered pretty much similar specifications as the Galaxy S but at a far lesser price making it a good deal, although only for a short time. Mainly because a lot of local players got aggressive with the pricing and offered a lot of better deals for a similar price, not to mention Nokia’s Lumia 520, which has been a popular device at a lesser price offering more value. With such renewed competition, Samsung hopes to offer a better deal with the Galaxy S Duos 2. How better of a deal is it? We find out in our review.
