Samsung has launched Galaxy On Max, its latest smartphone in the ‘On Series’. It has almost the same specifications as the Galaxy J7 Max that was launched recently, including a 5.7-inch 1080p display, Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P25 Lite SoC, Android 7.0 (Nougat), 13MP front and rear cameras with LED flash, fingerprint sensor on the front and Samsung Pay Mini for UPI and Paytm Payments, but this doesn’t have Smart Glow light around the camera. Samsung launched 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version of the Galaxy S8+ smartphone in India last month for Rs. 74,900, about Rs. 10,000 more than the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version of the phone. Samsung has posted its earnings guidance for the second quarter of 2017, which reveals that it will post an all time high 13.9 ~ 14.1 trillion Korean won (US$12.1 billion approx.) in operating profits for the quarter, 72% up from a year earlier. This will beat the 10.16 trillion won (~US$9.6 billion) that it posted back in Q3 2013. Last quarter it posted operating profit of 9.9 trillion won (about $8.7 billion) on revenue of 50.55 trillion won.

Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones back in April in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colors, and the S8+ also comes in Coral Blue color in India. It even launched 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version of the S8+ in the same Midnight Black color. Today the company has launched the Orchid Gray color variant for the phone in India.

It looks like Samsung is joining the Apple, Amazon and Google clan to make its own smart speaker. According to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, Samsung is working on smart speaker that will be powered by voice-activated voice assistant Bixby. Bixby is Samsung’s AI assistant — its answer to Alexa, or Siri, or the Google Assistant.

After several rumors, Samsung has officially announced the refurbished Galaxy Note7 units as Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition (Galaxy Note FE) in South Korea. This has almost same specifications as the Galaxy Note7 that was discontinued due to battery issue and even uses several components from the Note7, but this has a new, smaller 3,200mAh battery with 8-Point Battery Safety Check and multi-layer safety measures protocol implemented, same as the Galaxy S8 series.
