Samsung launched the Galaxy J5 Prime (SM-G570F) smartphone in India back in September last year. Now the Galaxy J5 Prime 2017 (SM-G571F) has been certified by the FCC in the U.S. This reveals the model number of the smartphone that had already surfaced in GFXBench benchmark, but it doesn’t reveal any specifications.

Now @evleaks aka Evan Blass at VentureBeat is reporting that the Galaxy S9 series will be an iterative update in “tock” cycle, since the Galaxy S8 was a major upgrade as a part of “tick” cycle. These flagships are expected to be previewed at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas in January, but it is not clear how much information about the devices will be revealed at CES, says the report. It packs a 3300mAh battery battery, slightly smaller than the 3500mAh battery on the S8+ and supports Samsung’s own Adaptive fast charging both on wired and wireless (WPC and PMA). It has a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display, is powered by Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor, has 6GB of RAM and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). Check out the test results.
