Nokia 2.1 Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone with 5.5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425, 4000mAh battery announced

HMD Global, along with the new Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1, also introduced the new Nokia 2.1, successor of last year’s Nokia 2, which is now a Android (Go edition) smartphone. It has a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by  Snapdragon 425  with 1GB of RAM, has an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

Nokia 3.1 Android One smartphone with 5.2-inch HD+ 18:9 display, Android Oreo announced

HMD Global just announced Nokia 3.1, successor of last year’s Nokia 3 along with the new Nokia 5.1 at an event in Russia. Similar to the other Nokia phones, it is an Android One smartphone. It packs a 5.2-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect  ratio, is powered by MediaTek MT6750 SoC with up to 3GB RAM, runs Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is upgradable to Android P in future. It packs a 5.5-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect  ratio, is powered by unannounced 2.0 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P18 SoC with up to 3GB RAM, runs Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is upgradable to Android P in future. HMD Global raises $100 million, will invest in growth of Nokia

HMD Global – the home of Nokia phones, today announced that it has raised additional $100 million from multiple investors to scale business operations and fund the company’s growth in its second year. This round of investment has been led by Geneva-based, Ginko Ventures via Alpha Ginko Ltd. with participation from DMJ Asia Investment Opportunity Limited and Wonderful Stars Pte. HMD Global just announced the Nokia X6, the company’s first Android smartphone in the ‘Nokia X’ series in China, as it had promised. It has a 5.8-inch FHD+ display with a notch and 19:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 636 with up to 6GB RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has a 16-megapixel rear camera with RGB sensor, along with a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera with a monochrome sensor, AI portrait and scene recognition and a 16-megapixel front camera with AI selfies with background blur, stickers and face unlock.

Nokia X6 (TA-1099) receives Bluetooth certification, three new unknown models get certified

HMD Global recently confirmed  that the Nokia X will be announced on May 16th in China and also showcased the phone at the Sanlitun experience store. Nokia TA-1099 got certified by  TENAA in China that confirmed the complete specifications of the phone. Now the phone has received Bluetooth certification that confirms the name as Nokia X6 and Bluetooth 5.0 support for Snapdragon 636. Nokia X with 5.8-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, Snapdragon 636, 6GB RAM gets certified ahead of May 16 announcement

After rumors HMD Global recently announced that the Nokia X (TA-1099) with a notch and an 19:9 aspect ratio display will be announced on May 16th in China and also showcased the phone at the Sanlitun experience store. However, it did not reveal the specifications of the phone at that time. Now the phone has been certified by TENAA in China that confirms all the specifications.

After teasing it yesterday, HMD Global today confirmed that the Nokia 6 2018  Android One smartphone with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available in India on May 13, exclusively on Amazon.in as Nokia 6.1 This follows the Nokia 6 2018 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version that was launched in the country last month.
