Microsoft Communicator Mobile latest child from the Redmond Espoo Alliance

Last year Nokia and Microsoft announced an alliance to bring Mobile Productivity solutions to Nokia phones and the first child from the alliance is Microsoft Communicator Mobile and application is now available from the Ovi Store. Only Nokia E72 and Nokia E52 seem to be supported at the moment.

Microsoft and HTC sign Patent Agreement

In a interesting turn of events Microsoft who is the maker of Windows Mobile Operating System has signed a Patent agreement with  phone maker HTC. Taiwan based HTC has been one of the biggest supporters of Windows Mobile so far and now they are one of the major adopters of Android with handsets like the Google Nexus One, HTC Desire and Legend.As a part of the new agreement HTC will have to pay Microsoft a royalty. Looks like Android OS has some Intellectual Property issues.

New Windows Phone 7 Videos shows Amazing Office Integration

Microsoft Windows Mobile grew popular mainly due to the support for Office documents and MS Exchange. But the implementation in WinMo was not very usable and the hardware was not great. Now Windows Phone 7 might be a winner and Microsoft might make a great comeback to the Mobile phone market. Vodafone to sell Microsoft Kin Phones exclusively in UK and Italy , Spain and Germany

While we are a tad disappointed that Microsoft PINK aka KIN Phones launched in USA today on Verizon’s network. But now a tweet from Vodafone UK confirms that the KIN is indeed going to be available in UK too soon.

Microsoft Pink Project becomes Kin – 2 new phones announced

The Microsoft Pink Project is finally official in the form of the Kin phones from Microsoft in a tie up with Sharp. These new phones are called the KIN 1 and KIN 2 and are aimed at the youth with sharing capabilities . The phones are going to be launched in May on Verizon USA’s Network. But we have a feeling it will be available outside the US too.
