Skype for Android has received a major update that brings several new features that includes, ability to delete conversations, save video messages, share images directly to a group conversation and enhanced search. Skype said that some of these features were added because of feedback from users, so its asks users to give feedback from the settings, inside the app. Check out the complete changelog below.

Microsoft delays Project Astoria, emulation tool to port Android apps to Windows

Microsoft announced its plans to launch tools for developers to quickly port Android and iOS apps to Windows 10 earlier this April. The tool for porting Android apps is called Project Astoria and the iOS porting tool is called Project Islandwood. The company did not launch Astoria publicly even months after the announcement. Now there are reports from Re/code and Windows Central saying that Project Astoria is on hold indefinitely, and maybe even shelved completely, but Microsoft doesn’t want to talk about it now, saying that Astoria bridge is not ready yet. Microsoft has announced that it has acquired Mobile Data Labs, creator of the popular MileIQ automatic mileage tracking app that tracks the miles you drive for business. It takes advantage of sensors in mobile devices to automatically and contextually capture, log and calculate business miles, allowing users to claim tax deductions. It has over 1 million users and has been the top-grossing finance app in the iTunes store for 20 months, said Microsoft. It has also been top-performing Finance app in the Google Play since launch. At the Future Unleashed 2015 event in Mumbai today, Microsoft announced that it will launch the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones in India in December 2015. Both these smartphones were announced at an event in New York City last month and pack QHD AMOLED ClearBlack displays, run Windows 10, come with USB Type-C port, 20-megapixel autofocus rear camera with ZEISS optics, with 5th Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), triple LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Microsoft kills Unlimited OneDrive storage, downgrades free storage from 15GB to 5GB for all

Last October Microsoft upgraded OneDrive storage to unlimited for all Office 365 subscribers from 1TB of free storage introduced last June that was increased from 20GB. Now the company has announced that it will no longer be offering unlimited storage to Office 365 Home, Personal, or University subscribers. All these will roll back to 1 TB. Microsoft says that some Office 365 subscribers had backed up numerous PCs and stored entire movie collections and DVR recordings that exceeded 75 TB per user, which is the main reason for killing unlimited storage.
