Micromax launched the Canvas Blaze 4G Q400 smartphone last month for Rs. 6999. Now the Canvas Blaze 4G+ Q414, it’s successor is available from eBay.in. Specs in the eBay listing doesn’t match the specifications of the official site. It has the same 4.5-inch FWVGA display present in the Canvas Blaze 4G and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, but this is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735M SoC, instead of Snapdragon 210 SoC. Micromax is all set to launch Canvas Mega E353 and Canvas Amaze Q395, two new Android smartphones in the Canvas series. The Canvas Mega E353 is already available from online retailers such as eBay. As the name of the phone indicates, the Canvas Mega has a huge 5.5-inch HD screen. It packs an Oct-Core MediaTek processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and has a leather-like back cover. Micromax just launched Canvas 5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Canvas series, as it promised. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p 2.5D curved screen with slim bezels, is powered by a 1.3GHz 64-bit Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), which is upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in future. Four homegrown smartphone makers viz, Micromax, Celkon, Karbonn and Lava have come together to set up units at the country’s first mobile manufacturing hub to join the ‘Make in India’ movement.
Micromax has launched new smartphones in the Bolt series that includes, Bolt S302, Bolt Q331 and Bolt Q338. All these smartphones have dual SIM support and 3G connectivity. The budget Bolt S302 and Bolt Q331 smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and have 4-inch WVGA and 5-inch FWVGA screens respectively. Micromax has invested in Times Internet’s Gaana music streaming service. As a part of this investment, Gaana app will be pre-installed on all new Micromax smartphones. New users will get a free trial of premium service Gaana+, which offers unlimited music streaming without any ads. Gaana has 20 million active users and over 30 million downloads, said the company. The financial terms of the investment has not been revealed.

Micromax Canvas Fire 4G was announced earlier this month at a MediaTek event and the Canvas Blaze 4G Q400 went on sale online yesterday, today the company has launched these smartphones along with another 4G smartphone, the Canvas Play 4G with a 5.5-inch HD screen and a 13-megapixel rear camera. Micromax has announced a festive offer that lets you purchase the Canvas Sliver 5 or the Canvas Knight 2 smartphone with a Rs. 9000 discount in exchange for old smartphones. This offer is applicable for purchases from an Authorized dealer or retailer and is not applicable on online purchases, says Micromax. Even though MRP of the Canvas Sliver 5 and the Canvas Knight 2 are Rs. 18,999 and Rs. 17,499, respectively, these smartphones will be available for Rs. 9,999 after exchange.
