Meizu just announced m3 note, the successor of last year’s m2 note in China. It has a same 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Flyme OS on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for fast focus in just 0.2 seconds and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Meizu MX5e with 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, metal body, 16MP camera announced

Meizu has announced MX5e, the company’s latest smartphone in the MX series and an affordable variant of the MX5 that was introduced last year. This has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Laser auto-focus, instead of 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX220 on the MX5. Other specifications are the same, including a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display and Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 processor.

MediaTek today officially introduced its Deca-Core Helio X20 processor at an event in China. At the event Meizu CEO, Yongxiang BAI and MediaTek Vice President & Co-COO, Jeffrey Ju confirmed that the upcoming flagship Meizu PRO 6 smartphone will be exclusively powered by a Deca-Core Helio X25 processor. Meizu launched its budget m2 smartphone and the successor of m1 in India, back in October last year, exclusively on Snapdeal, today the company has launched the smartphone on Flipkart. It was announced back in July last year, packs a 5-inch HD screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 75.6%, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with FlyMe OS 4.5, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Canonical has partnered with Meizu to introduce Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition, ahead of MWC 2016 next week. “This is the fifth Ubuntu device launched by Canonical and its partners in the last twelve months and the most sophisticated and feature-rich Ubuntu phone in the market,” said Canonical. It has similar specifications as the original Meizu PRO 5 that was introduced last year, but this comes only in 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant. Today the company has released Flyme OS 5.1.3 stable update based on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) for the Indian users finally. US Mobile brings Xiaomi and Meizu phones in the US without LTE support

Xiaomi and Meizu, two popular Chinese smartphone brands are entering the US market. Both the companies have partnered with US Mobile to bring some of their devices to the country. US Mobile is a prepaid carrier that uses T-Mobile’s network for service.

Meizu introduced the company’s flagship MX5 smartphone with metal body and an Octa-Core Helio X10 processor back in June last year. According to AnTuTu, the successor of the smartphone, MX6 might come with a Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 (MT6797) processor. MediaTek annouced the Helio X20 processor as the world’s first SoC with 10 cores and a tri-cluster CPU design back in May last year. Meizu PRO 6 rumored to be powered by upcoming Samsung Exynos 8870 Octa processor

Samsung is rumored to be working on Exynos 8870, a cheaper variant of its Exynos 8 Octa 8890 14nm processor with custom CPU cores and Mali–T880 MP12 GPU. According a weibo user this processor will use the same custom designed CPU cores based on 64-bit ARMv8 architecture, but the maximum clock speed will be slightly reduced compared to the 8890. Ever since Meizu started operations in India, they’ve fast become a player to watch out for. While a significant market share still eludes the brand, they certainly have managed to carve out a niche for themselves by offering fantastic quality and overall experience. Indeed, the small but vocal fan following echoes exactly what we found out in our reviews. Meizu makes good phones that balance specifications versus price surprisingly well.
