MediaTek just announced Helio G95, the company’s latest mid-range Gaming-centric processor, which is the successor of the Helio G90T, which powers several smartphones. It has the same dual ARM Cortex-A76 CPUs operating up to 2.05GHz along with six Cortex-A55 power-efficient CPUs, but this has ARM Mali-G76 MC4 with up to 900 MHz offering 8% better GPU score in Manhattan 3.0 Benchmark and 5% increase in AnTuTu CPU benchmark score. MediaTek Dimensity 800U with support for Dual SIM 5G, up to 120Hz displays announced

MediaTek just announced Dimensity 800U, the company’s latest mid-range 5G SoC, a cheaper version of the Dimensity 800 that introduced earlier this year, but this comes with cutting-edge technologies such as 5G+5G dual SIM dual standby (DSDS), dual Voice over New Radio (VoNR), and 5G two carrier aggregation (2CC 5G-CA). With the MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology, the modem’s operating mode is managed based on network environment and data transmission quality, extending the battery life of mobile devices. MediaTek T700 5G modem to power Intel 5G laptops from 2021

MediaTek has announced new partnership with Intel to bring 5G to next-generation Intel laptops with MediaTek T700 5G modem. MediaTek said that it has completed 5G standalone (SA) calls in real world test scenarios. Intel  is readying co-engineering support for its OEM partners, said the company. MediaTek Dimensity 720 7nm Octa-Core SoC with built-in 5G, support for up to 90Hz displays announced

MediaTek just announced Dimensity 720, the company’s latest mid-range SoC with built-in 5G in the new Dimensity 700 series. It has two Cortex-A76 cores operating up to 2GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz. The MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology uses both network and content awareness intelligence to manage the modem’s operating mode in real-time to extend battery life. MediaTek Dimensity 820 7nm Octa-Core SoC with built-in 5G, support for up to 120Hz displays announced

MediaTek just announced Dimensity 820, the company’s latest mid-range SoC and an enhanced version of the Dimensity 800 that was introduced earlier this year. It has four high-performance Arm Cortex-A76 cores at 2.6GHz, compared to 2GHz in the Dimensity 800, while retaining the 2GHz Arm Cortex-A55 cores from the predecessor. MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC with support for dual 5G SIM cards, up to 144Hz displays announced

MediaTek just announced Dimensity 1000+, the company’s latest flagship SoC and enhanced version of the Dimensity 1000 that was introduced last year.  It has built-in 5G modem with Carrier Aggregation, dual 5G SIM, and MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave power saving technologies that dynamically adjust the modem’s power configuration and operating frequency according to network conditions and user activities to significantly save power. MediaTek has officially announced Helio G85 in the ‘G series’, which is an enhanced version of the G80 series which was announced back in February. It is targeted at mid-range gaming smartphones and features MediaTek’s HyperEngine game technology to boost the mobile gaming experience. It packs dual ARM Cortex-A75 and hexa Cortex-A55 CPUs with the ARM Mali — G52 2EEMC2 with speeds of up to 1GHz and is based on 12nm TSMC FinFET technology. MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC to feature first ever hardware AV1 video decoder

Recently, AV1 (AOMedia Video 1) is gaining popularity thanks to its royalty-free licensing model and good compression rates for content. However, the codec has largely been absent for streaming content on the smartphone due to the lack of a decoder. That is about to change as the MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 1000 5G SoC has an integrated hardware AV1 decoder.

MediaTek accused of providing mobile benchmark cheating as a service: Report

Benchmark apps have been existing for a long time now and almost every smartphone manufacturer is boasting the high benchmark scores that their smartphones achieve in these apps. While benchmark scores need not necessarily translate into real-time performance, smartphone companies in the past have been accused of manipulating the scores. On similar lines now, MediaTek has been accused of cheating mobile benchmark and providing it as a service.

Samsung introduced its new Q900 and Q950 series of 8K QLED TVs with bezel-less Infinity Screen, 5.1 channel surround-sound and more at the CES 2020 earlier this year. MediaTek Dimensity 800 7nm Octa-Core SoC with built-in 5G for mid-range devices announced

MediaTek just announced Dimensity 800, the company’s latest SoC in the Dimensity series with built-in 5G, as it had promised. This comes after Dimensity 1000 that was introduced back in November last year. The Dimensity uses 7nm process technology, same as the Dimensity 1000, but this features four Cortex-A76 cores operating up to 2GHz and four power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz. The company just says Dimensity 1000-class GPU, combined with MediaTek gaming technology – HyperEngine without revealing the GPU model. MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G SoC for mid-range devices to be announced in Q1 2020

Last month, MediaTek unveiled its flagship 7nm Dimesnity 1000 Soc with built-in 5G. While the Dimesnity 1000 is already shipping to OEMs, MediaTek has now announced a new SoC for mid-range devices – Dimesnity 800 and it will be launched in Q1 2020.
