Lava has launched Iris X1, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Iris series as it promised recently. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor with Videocore IV GPU and runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, dual LED flash, Multi-Element Lens, 1.4 mm Pixel Size and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a similar design as the Iris Pro series. Lava had launched their Iris Pro 30 sometime in January earlier this year and now they have launched a slightly toned down version of it in the form of Lava Iris Pro 20. The Lava Iris Pro 20 retains the distinctive iPhone like build quality, but comes with a relatively low resolution qHD display and a toned down 0.3MP front camera instead of the 3MP camera in the Iris Pro 30.
Lava launched the Iris 406Q, a budget smartphone running Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) last month and also promised to deliver Android 4.4 for it.
