HUAWEI has announced P40 Lite E, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in Poland, after introducing the P40 Lite in Spain last week. It has a 6.39-inch HD+ LCD screen with an 8-megapixel in-screen camera, is powered by Kirin 710F SoC with 4GB RAM, runs Android 9 with EMUI 9.1, has a 48-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and 2-megapixel camera for depth sensing in portrait shots. HUAWEI said to use IndusOS AppBazaar Android app store on upcoming phones in India

It has been several months since HUAWEI launched a smartphone in India, and HONOR launched the HONOR 9X in January, but with old Kirin 710 SoC and Android Pie. This is due to ban on using Google Play Services on its phones. Now a new report says that it will soon partner with India’s system apps company OSLabs, the maker of IndusOS, to offer a curated Android app store on HUAWEI and HONOR smartphones. HUAWEI Enjoy 10e with 6.3-inch display, Android 10, 5000mAh battery announced

HUAWEI has introduced Enjoy 10e budget smartphone in China. It packs a 6.3-inch HD+ display with 2.65mm tiny waterdrop notch and 88.4% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC with 4GB RAM, has a 13-megapixel primary camera with AI features and a 2-megapixel camera for portrait shots. There is an 8-megapixel pop-up camera on the front. It runs EMUI 10 on top of Android 10, features gradient back and is backed up by a 5000mAh (typical) battery with reverse charging using OTG cable, but lacks a fingerprint sensor. It has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 16-megapixel in-screen camera, is powered by Kirin 810 7nm SoC with 8GB RAM, runs Android 10 with EMUI 10 and HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) instead of Google Play Services, has a 48-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 2-megapixel camera for macro and another 2-megapixel camera for depth sensing in portrait shots. Since being put on the USA Entity List, HUAWEI has been working on developing alternatives to Google’s various services that are used in its smartphones. As an alternative to the Google Play Store, HUAWEI has launched AppGallery, which is a platform to download apps for HUAWEI smartphone users.

HUAWEI Mate Xs with 8-inch foldable display, Kirin 990 5G SoC, Leica Quad Cameras announced

HUAWEI has introduced Mate Xs in an online event, as it had promised, after MWC Barcelona got cancelled.  It has a 6.6-inch OLED screen on the front and 6.38-inch screen on the back that expands to an 8-inch screen when unfolded, same as the Mate X, which didn’t actually go on sale after several delays. Earlier last year, Google suspended some of its business operations with HUAWEI which includes a ban on using Google Services and Play Store. Subsequently, the company got another 90-day license extension to do business with American firms and there have been reports that the company has been working on alternatives. On similar lines now, according to the latest reports, Chinese mobile giants Xiaomi, HUAWEI, OPPO, and Vivo are said to be working on a platform to rival Google Play Store.

HUAWEI will use TomTom for maps instead of Google Maps

Earlier last year, Google suspended some of its business operations with HUAWEI which includes a ban on using Google Services and Play Store. Subsequently, the company got another 90-day license extension to do business with American firms. While the smartphones launched by HUAWEI recently doesn’t come with Google Play Services, the company has been working on alternatives. On similar lines now, HUAWEI will use TomTom for navigation instead of Google Maps.

HUAWEI P40 Pro with LEICA penta rear cameras, 10x optical zoom, ceramic body surfaces, expected on March 26

HUAWEI is all set to introduce its P40 series in the coming weeks, now the first clear render of the P40 has surfaced showing off the ceramic back in Black and White, thanks to @evleaks. This also shows dual punch-hole display and penta rear camera arrangement with LEICA branding, and this is said to be P40 Pro Premium Edition.

HUAWEI sold over 240 million smartphones including 6.7 million 5G phones in 2019

Being on the US entity list has apparently not affected the Chinese smartphone giant HUAWEI in selling Android Smartphones worldwide. HUAWEI has sold over 240 million smartphone devices in 2020 alone with the Mate and P series seeing a growth of over 50% Y0Y. In the 5G market too, HUAWEI reported impressive numbers of 6.9 million 5G smartphones sold.
