At the Google I/O 2015 yesterday, Google announced its partnership with Qualcomm for its next generation Project Tango smartphone development platform. Project Tango combines the camera, gyroscope, and accelerometer to estimate six degree of freedom motion tracking, providing developers the ability to track 3D motion of a device while simultaneously creating a map of the environment. Google announced an array of new tools and updates at the I/O developer conference including Maps API for Android Wear. The feature that comes as a Google Play Services 7.3 update will allow developers to use the Google Maps API directly on Android Wear devices.
