Coolpad has launched its Note 3 Plus smartphone in India exclusively on Amazon.in, as expected. It packs a 5.5-inch Full HD display, compared to HD screen on the Coolpad Note 3. Other specifications remain the same, including a Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor, Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Cool UI, 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Coolpad India has sent out invites for the launch its flagship smartphone in India on May 6th. The invite just reads “experience the ‘PLUS’ of Coolpad Note 3”, so it is likely to launch the Coolpad Note 3 Plus, successor of last year’s Coolpad Note 3. Coolpad launched the Note 3 smartphone in India back in October last year for Rs. 8,999. Today the company has announced a permanent Rs. 500 price cut for the Black version of the smartphone to celebrate the success of Note 3 voted as the No.1 smartphone in the sub 10k category. Coolpad today announced that the Coolpad Note 3 Lite smartphone will be available without registrations through open sale on Amazon.in starting from March 22nd. It was launched in India back in January earlier this year for Rs. 6,999 and went on sale starting from 28th January. It was initially available in Champagne White color, later the company introduced the Black edition of the smartphone. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the battery life test results. It packs a 2500mAh built-in battery, slightly less than the 3000mAh battery on the Coolpad Note 3. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Cool UI 6.0 on top. Coolpad has launched the Coolpad Note 3 Black edition in India on Amazon exclusively for the Indian market. Back in October it announced that it will invest over $300 million in Manufacturing, R&D and ID design in India. Today the company has announced that it will will manufacture one million Made in India Coolpad handsets in the first half of 2016. “Partnership between Coolpad and Videocon is in line with the Indian Government Vision of “Make in India” and such projects and partnerships will bring big business and employment opportunities in the country,” said Coolpad.
