It received over 5 lakh registrations for the sale in just 2 days, said Coolpad. Today the company said that it sold 15,000 units of Note 3 smartphones in less than 5 minutes. Coolpad will invest Rs 1,950 crore to manufacture phones in India, partners with Videocon
After launching the Note 3 smartphone in India yesterday, Coolpad has announced plans to ‘Make in India’. The Chinese smartphone maker said that it would invest around Rs 1,950 crore in India to manufacture and sell low cost handsets in the country.

Its been a while since we noticed a major new Chinese entrant enter into the hot mess that is the Indian smartphone market. Coolpad announced back in July that it will launch the a new smartphone with a fingerprint sensor in India soon. Today it has sent an invite for the launch of a new device on October 9th. It clear hints at the fingerprint sensor on the smartphone. It has partnered with Amazon.in to sell the new smartphone, which will be called the Note 3 in India.

Coolpad launched its Dazen 1 and Dazen X7 smartphones in India back in May. Now the company is gearing to launch its Note 3 smartphone in India. It was launched in China by QIKU, a joint venture by Coolpad group and QIHU 360 and received more than 2.6 million pre-orders in one week, said the company.
