Asus launched the Zenfone 4 (A450CG) for Rs. 6,999 along with the Zenfone 4 (A400CG) last month. The Zenfone 4 A450CG is now available for pre-order on Flipkart, as Asus promised few days back. The Zenfone A450CG has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box, compared to the 4-inch WVGA screen, 5-megapixel rear camera and Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) on the Zenfone 4 (A400CG) that we reviewed recently. Asus launched the Zenfone 4 (A400CG) with a 4-inch WVGA display last month for Rs. 5,999. It also launched the Zenfone 4 (A450CG) with slightly better specifications at Rs. 6,999. Today the company has announced that the the Zenfone 4 – A450CG will be up for pre-booking, exclusively on Flipkart from Sunday, August 24th midnight. Asus IFA 2014 teaser hints at its first Android Wear Smartwatch

Update: New teaser from Asus, confirms that it’s going launch their smartwatch at IFA. Scribbled writings in the image reveals that it would have a stainless steel frame, polish as mirrors and sexy curves.

Asus has started teasing its upcoming announcement at the IFA 2014, slated for September 3rd. The first teaser shows a device with curved edges along with the quote “Time has been transformed, and we have changed” by Khalil Gibran that hints at its first Android Wear smartwatch. 20,000 units of Asus Zenfone 5 smartphones to be available on Flipkart from August 18th

Earlier this month Asus stocked 10,000 Zenfone 5 units on Flipkart, after it went out of stock in four days after the launch. It went out of stock again. Now the company has announced that Zenfone 5 would be back on stock on Flipkart with 20,000 units available for sale starting this Monday, August 18, 2014. Asus Padfone Infinity and Fonepad Note 6 get Android 4.4 KitKat update

Asus has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the Padfone Infinity (A80) and the Fonepad Note 6 (ME560CG). It rolled out the Kitkat update for the Padfone 2 last month. The KitKat update also brings Asus ZenUI with a new user interface for these devices. The ZenUi brings clean layout, flat icons, new color themes, animations, new ringtone and notification tones. Asus launched the Zenfone 5 smartphone in India last month along with the other smartphones in the Zenfone series. It went on sale on Flipkart and authorised Asus channels soon after the launch starting at just Rs. 9,999, but it went out of stock on Flipkart in just four days after the launch. Today, the company has announced that the Zenfone 5 would be back on stock on Flipkart with 10,000 units available for sale starting tomorrow, August 9th. Asus ZenFone 4 is the cheapest of all the three smartphones from the Zenfone series. The entry-level phone, launched in India last month for Rs 5,999, aims to offer great value for the price it comes at. ASUS has launched the phone in two versions viz, the A400CG and A450CG. The former has a 4 inch screen and a 5-megapixel camera, whereas the latter, which is not available for sale in India yet, has a 4.5-inch screen and an 8-megapixel camera. Asus Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 get new firmware updates in India, brings stability and enhancements

Asus launched the Zenfone series in India last month. These smartphones already got some minor updates soon after the launch for bug fixes, now the company has released a new over-the-air (OTA) update (V1.16.40.8_20140725_9834) for the Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 smartphones. This update improves the 3rd party app compatibility, stability of system UI and brightness of Flash LED when capturing photos. Check out the changelog below. Intel powered 7 inch Asus tablet spotted by FCC

A 7 inch Asus tablet has been spotted at FCC  that is expected to have the Intel 64-bit Moorefield processor called the Atom Z3560. The tablet which carries a model number K007 is might come with IPS LCD panel which offers a resolution of 1200 by 1920 pixels.

Asus launched the Zenfone series of smartphones in India last month. We reviewed the Zenfone 5 recently. The Zenfone 6, top-end model in the series with a 6-inch HD display is priced at Rs. 16,999. It is one of the few large-screen smartphones in this price range to launch in India recently, apart from smartphones like the Xolo Q2500 PocketPad and Lava Magnum X604 from local manufacturers. Asus has been using Intel Atom processors for its Fonepad tablets, even the Zenfone smartphones are powered by Intel Atom processors. Asus launched the Zenfone series in India that includes the Zenfone 4 that starts at Rs. 5,999 for the Asus Zenfone 4 (A400CG) variant. The Zenfone 4 (A400CG) is the base variant in the Zenfone lineup. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU and has 1GB RAM.
