Asus as announced the Asus Transformer Pad 300, affordable Android tablet. It has 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS display and is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It features a 1.2MP front camera for video conferencing and an 8MP rear camera with a large F2.2 aperture. The 5-element lens allows for high quality images along with HD video recording. Asus has finally released the Bootloader unlock tool for the Transformer Prime tablet as they announced last month. This would be useful for the modding community who would like to have the bootloader unlocked and also for people who would like to install custom ROM on their tablet. So I was going through all the posts related to the surprise which nVIDIA dropped yesterday that the ASUS eee pad Transformer Prime will be receiving Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update on the same day in the U.S, and saw a comment from ASUS Singapore’s official Facebook page saying that the Transformer TF101 will receive the latest Android 4.0 update tomorrow.

Asus and Nvidia has announced at CES 2012 they would launch a new tablet, Eee Pad MeMO 370T. This tablet would come with a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) display powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). They did not reveal any other details about the device however this device would be price at $249. Asus has officially announced on their Facebook Page that the Asus Transformer Prime would receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update Over the Air (OTA) start January 12th 2012 worldwide. They are also developing an unlock tool for the modding community who would like to have the bootloader unlocked. The warranty of the device will be void once the bootloader is unlocked and Google video rental and other DRM service would also be unavailable. Asus Transformer Prime is now available for pre-order from UK’s online retail store, Clove UK. There are two variants, one with 32GB internal storage and a keyboard included, and one with 64GB memory and no keyboard included. Asus announced the tablet last month and it got rooted earlier this month after few days it was made available in the US.
