Apple hints at lossless audio support in a new teaser for special announcement

Apple recently teased a new special announcement in their Apple Music app, showing a video of an revolving Apple Music logo with multiple rows of “Apple Music” text behind it. Along with teaser, hidden within the source code of the Apple Music web app, there are references to ‘Lossless’ and ‘Hi Res Lossless’ music, which may be the reason behind the announcement.

Apple reports $23.6 billion profit on $89.6 billion revenue in FY Q2 2021; iPhone revenue up 65% YoY

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $89.6 billion, an increase of over $31 billion or 54% from a year ago. It posted a net profit of $23.6 billion, up 29.7% YoY and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $1.40 for the financial year Q2 2021 that ended March 27, 2020.  International sales accounted for 67% of the quarter’s revenue.
