U.S Jury after nearly five days of deliberations has decided that Samsung should pay $539 million to Apple over patent retrial. This ruling comes seven years after the start of a global patent battle. Apple had filed for patent battle back in 2011 on Samsung mobiles and tablets for bluntly copying its products. Apple hit with class action suit over MacBook, MacBook Pro butterfly keyboard issues

Apple has been hit with class action suit over MacBook, MacBook Pro butterfly switch keyboard failures. The complaint lodged in the Northern District Court of California claims that owners of MacBook models manufactured from 2015 and MacBook Pro models produced from 2016 feating the company’s butterfly keyboard mechanism have experienced some type of failure. Today Reliance Jio has started pre-orders for it on its website. Airtel has started pre-registrations for the new Apple Watch, and says that it the bookings will begin on May 11th. Apple reports $13.8 billion profit on $61.1 billion revenue in FY Q2 2018, 52.2 million iPhones sold

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $61.1 billion, up 16% over last year with a record Q2 net profit of $13.8 billion, up 25.4% YoY in their earnings for the financial year Q2 2018 that ended March 31, 2018. During earnings call Tim Cook said that the growth was broad-based, with iPhone revenue up 14%, services up 31% and wearables up almost 50%. He said that the company grew in each of its geographic segments, and in Greater China and Japan, revenue was up more than 20%. Apple introduced special edition (Product) Red iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus  smartphones earlier this month and said that they will go on sale in India in May. Now these new phones are already available from through Apple Authorised Resellers in the the country, few days before announced date and are also available for pre-order from Flipkart that ships from April 30th.
