macOS Mojave with Dark Mode, Stacks, new built-in apps, Redesigned Mac App Store now available for download

Apple has released macOS 10.14 Mojave for Macs, as it had promised. It was announced back in June at the WWDC 2018 and brings several new features, including  Dark Mode, a new Dynamic Desktop with a series of time-shifting images to match the time of day, New productivity features like Stacks, new apps, including News, Stocks, Voice Memos and Home, and a redesigned Mac App Store. Apple completes acquisition of Shazam, app will soon go Ad-free for all users

Back in December last year Apple confirmed the acquisition of London-based music recognition service Shazam. Today the Cupertino giant has announced that it has completed the acquisition. It also said that the app will soon be ad-free for all users. The company currently charges $2.99 or ₹ 249 for ad-free experience.

Apple iPhone XS and XS Max to get support for depth control while taking an image

Apple with the iPhone XS and XS Max introduced the ability to control or adjust the depth of field of an image after it has been shot. However, a new report suggests that Apple is also planning on letting users adjust the depth while taking the picture. The feature is currently available in iOS 12.1 beta 1, meaning that Apple is using its iOS software to implement the feature. Apple iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR certification reveals battery capacity and RAM

Apple unveiled iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, the company’s next-generation iPhones last week. Apple doesn’t mentions battery capacity for the iPhones on its site, and we usually find those details later on certification sites or in teardowns. Now all these phones have been certified by TENAA in China revealing battery capacities and RAM. To remind you, last year’s iPhone X comes with 2716mAh battery and 3GB LPDDR4x RAM. The 5.8-inch iPhone XS actually has a smaller 2658mAh battery compared to the iPhone X, but the 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max packs a 3174mAh battery. Both these have 4GB of RAM. Apple has released iOS 12, its latest operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users as it had promised and also released watchOS 5.0 for Apple Watch users. One of the most anticipated features in the new iPhones of 2018 was Dual SIM support which has been a common feature in most Android smartphones. This feature was leaked in the iOS code base quite a while back, but got unveiled with excellent detail in the Apple keynote. Dual SIM was a feature which was limited to entry level or mid-tier smartphones until recent times when manufacturers like Huawei, Samsung, LG, OnePlus have been including Dual-SIM support even in their flagship smartphones.

Apple HomePod gets improved Siri integration, Spanish language support and more

Apple is adding new features to HomePod including the ability to search by lyrics, set multiple timers, make and receive phone calls and more. It is also bringing support for Spanish in the US, Spain, and Mexico, and expands support in Canada with Canadian French.
