Acer Liquid S1 Hands-on

Acer launched their new flagship Acer Liquid S2 just ahead of the IFA and they had announced the Liquid S1 back in Computex which was a couple of months back. The Liquid S1 is quite a big device with a 5.7inch HD display. It comes with Dual-SIM capabilities and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek – MT6589. It has an 8 MP camera at the back along with LED flash and it is capable of recording 1080p videos.

Acer Iconia A3 with 10.1-inch HD display, quad-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

Acer announced the Iconia A1 tablet with a 7.9 inch display back in May, now it has announced the Iconia A3 tablet with a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS diplay. The Iconia A3 is also powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core cortex A7 processor (probably MediaTek) and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing camera. It comes in Wi-Fi-only and 3G + WiFi variants. It has Dolby Digital Plus that would offer 5.1 channel surround experience over headphones. No word on RAM and the battery capacity yet. Acer Liquid S2 with 6-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor and 4K video recording announced

Acer has announced the Liquid S2, successor of the Liquid S1 that was unveiled back in June. The Acer Liquid S2 would be the first phone to record videos at 4K Ultra HD resolution with it’s 13-megapixel rear camera that has a LED ring flash. It has a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels), IPS display at 368 PPI, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with-wide angle lens and 1080p full HD video recording. The Acer Float UI allows several Float app windows to stay open for better multitasking. Acer Liquid Z3 with 3.5-inch display, dual-core processor and Android 4.2 announced

Acer has unveiled the Liquid Z3, successor of the Liquid Z2 that was launched earlier this year. It has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and comes with  dual SIM support depending on the region. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and comes with a 3-megapixel rear camera without flash.

Acer Liquid S1 with 5.7 inch 720p display, 1.5 GHz quad core processor announced

Computex has just begun in Taipei and Acer is already leading the pack with a steady stream of announcements. The company has just announced the launch of a brand new large screened Android smartphone. Called the Liquid S1, it packs a 720p 5.7 inch screen. Aimed at emerging markets in Asia and Europe, it will come equipped with dual SIM card slots. There are no plans to bring the smartphone to the US and hence it lacks LTE radios which are critical for the market.

Powering the smartphone is a 1.5Ghz quad core Mediatek processor. This is paired with 1GB of memory which should be more than sufficient to facilitate multitasking. The software on top is Android 4.2 with an almost stock interface layer. That is not to say that the handset is running stock Android 4.2 because Acer has taken the time out to make some fairly useful additions to the software. Holding down on the multitasking button reveals a pop up window that offers shortcuts to windowed apps. Acer Iconia A1 tablet with 7.9-inch IPS display, Android 4.2 goes official


Acer has officially announced the Iconia A1-810 tablet that surfaced last month.  It has a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) IPS  display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing camera. It comes in Wi-Fi-only and 3G + WiFi variants. Acer launched the Iconia B1 with a 7-inch display and a dual-core Mediatek processor in India earlier this year, so we can expect this table to launch in India. Acer Liquid E2 with 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 announced

Acer has announced the Liquid E2, successor of the Liquid E1 that was released earlier this year. It has a 4.5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) similar to the Liquid E1, but it is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor. It has a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, 1080p HD video recording and  can capture 8 pictures per second in burst mode. It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also features dual speakers and DTS digital audio support for enhanced audio output. It also has dual SIM variant, Acer Liquid E2 Duo that would be available in select markets. Acer’s upcoming tablet, Iconia A1-810 has been spotted on a french retail site. It has a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) IPS  display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA (0.3MP) front-facing camera. Acer launched the Iconia B1 with a 7-inch display and a dual-core Mediatek processor in India earlier this year. Acer Liquid C1 Hands On

Acer announced three new handsets at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and the Liquid C1 was one of them alongside the Liquid E1 and Liquid Z2. The Liquid C1 is particularly interesting because it is running on the Intel Atom architecture. The phone is powered by a 1.2Ghz Intel Atom Z2420 processor paired with 1GB of RAM and the performance is quite impressive. The Acer Liquid E1 was announced at Mobile World Congress as a mid range device running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Liquid E1 is equipped with a large 4.5″ qHD screen but feels quite comfortable in the hand due to the rounded edges. Internally, the phone has a dual core 1Ghz process and 1GB of RAM. Acer has unveiled 2 new smartphones Liquid Z2 and Liquid E1 for the European markets. The Liquid E1 was formally announced last month, now the company has announced it for the European markets. The Liquid Z2 has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Acer Liquid C1 with 4.3-inch qHD IPS display, 1.2 GHz Intel Atom processor announced

Acer and Intel has announced the Liquid C1 powered by the Intel’s 1.2 GHz Atom Lexington Z2420 processor for the Asia Pacific region. The Xolo X500 that was launched in India last week uses the same processor, Acer was also announced as a partner at the announcement in CES 2013 last month. The Liquid C1 has a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS touch screen display with 16:9 ratio and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash that can capture images at 5 frames per second. It also features a 0.3MP front-facing camera. Acer has launched the ICONIA B1, the company’s first affordable Android tablet in India. It was announced last week at CES 2013. It comes with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Mediatek MT 8317T processor.
