Official Facebook app makes its way to Windows App Store

During the Microsoft Build conference held in June, Microsoft announced that an official Facebook app is coming to Windows 8 and after nearly 4 months, the official app arrives in the marketplace. Today, along with the launch of Windows 8.1, Facebook’s official app arrives in app store and it is available only for devices running Windows 8.1.

PinGuo technologies has updated the Camera360 app to version 4.7.7 that brings support for Sony QX10 and QX100 lenses. Sony released Camera Remote APIs back in IFA last month to write apps to control their cameras including the DSC-QX100 and DSC-QX10, PinGuo has made use of it to integrate option to control the camera lenses using the Camera360 app. This app lets you enjoy live filters including Magic Skin, Enhance, Lomo, HDR, Retro, Black and White, Ghost and more.

Angry Birds Go! coming to Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10 on December 11

Rovio has announced their their new game Angry Birds Go! in the Angry Birds franchise would be released on December 11th. As the company already announced, it is a downhill kart racing game on a 3D Piggy Island. It would come with upgradable karts, tons of characters with unique special powers and a fully rendered 3D world. It has also released a gameplay trailer for the Angry Birds Go! Check it out below.

Instagram v4.2 for Android brings automatic straightening, Simplified video settings and more

Instagram for Android got updated to version 4.1 back in August that brought option to import your videos from the phone library. At the same time the iPhone app got automatic straightening feature that corrects the photo when you  tap the new Straighten icon. Evernote for BlackBerry 10 updated with Checkboxes, Image and Audio support

Evernote has updated the BlackBerry 10 app with a lot of new features including checkboxes, improved image support and audio recording. The new Checkbox option lets you add Checkboxes in notes and also lets you uncheck the items. The checkbox option is present above the keyboard when you start editing a note. No you can attach images and audio recording to your notes. It is not available for all the tablets yet, but Twitter has announced that the app would first be available for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. The Landscape view shows Tweets, conversations, Trends, accounts to follow and more. You can just tap a tweet that expand on the right side to show photos, videos and previews. Yahoo has also brough Mail Plus features such as Disposable Addresses, Filters  to automatically sort incoming messages, Auto Mail Forwarding and Offline Access with POP free to everyone. Microsoft to release Remote Desktop apps for iOS and Android this month

Remote Desktop has been a popular feature for Windows PCs for a long time, mainly used to remotely help your friends or family, usually for troubleshooting. The Server-Client methodology has enabled the clients to exist on many platforms. In fact, the Remote Desktop Protocol is widely known to be used in third party apps, but as always, nothing comes close to the apps done by the people who created it. Microsoft are doing just that, by releasing Remote Desktop apps for iOS and Android later this month, according to the company’s own press release.

Twitter for Windows Phone updated with Dark Theme option and Lock Screen highlights

It’s been a while since the official Twitter for Windows Phone app got its updates. It had unsurprisingly missed the conversation thread update iOS and Android received. While that feature has still evaded the platform, we have news of an update for the app. The app now arguably brings more choices and interesting changes to the Twitter experience on your Windows Phone. Most notable of the new additions are the new dark theme option and lock screen highlights. Users can now choose between a light and dark theme and have Twitter set as the lock screen picture(using Windows Phone 8’s unique feature) to show recent highlights from your feed.

Vodafone India launches new My Vodafone app for Android, iOS and BlackBerry

Vodafone India has launched a new My Vodafone self service app for iOS, Android and Blackberry platforms. This lets you pay phone bills, recharge prepaid account, track service requests, subscribe to the best offers and more. The app allows real-time integration with Vodafone systems to access several information such as billing, recharge and data consumption. This works both on GPRS and 3G and also on Wi-Fi (Registration requires Vodafone Data Connectivity).

Even though the app has been available for the past few months, the updated version 2.0 app brings a lot of new features several improvements that makes it faster.

Speaking about the app, Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India, said
