There are quite a lot of rumors going around about Samsung’s round smartwatch called the Orbis. The last rumor was that the smartwatch has been delayed and will make an appearance later in the year alongside the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA, Berlin in September. We had told you that Samsung is working on a round smartwatch and that it is roping in artists and fashion brands to help develop accessories for it. Android Wear just got an update recently that brought in a lot of new features. One of the main additions was the Wi-Fi support. Having Wi-Fi enabled on your smartwatch is a really nice feature to have but apparently the LG G Watch will not be getting Wi-Fi support even with the new update.
The Apple Watch is proving to be a resounding success from a sales perspective. It is believed that initial pre orders have already exceeded the number of Android Wear watches sold every year and all this is while most buyers haven’t even got their hands on the smart-watch yet. While the jury is out on the utility of smart-watches altogether, we spent some time with an Apple Watch in Beijing to see if it meets the expectations set by the hype around it.
