HMD Global’s Chief product officer Juho Sarvikas has confirmed that Nokia 2 will get Android 8.1 Oreo update directly skipping 8.0 update. Nokia and Chinese handset maker Xiaomi Technology have signed a multi-year patent licensing agreement. Xiaomi also acquired patent assets from Nokia as part of the transaction. The deal also includes a cross license to each company’s cellular standard essential patents.
