The number 5 seems to be quite problematic for the Koreans. Samsung faced some of the worst reviews ever for a flagship product and one of the worst sales performance in their flagship Galaxy S line-up with the S5. The S5 did bring in some improvements but those were minor and in the process almost made some bad decisions including larger bezels etc. All these small things led to very disappointing sales figures and Samsung knew that had to start afresh. Project Zero was born and eventually resulted in the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices which were a huge leap from their preceding model. They were a step in the right direction and Samsung has been doing everything perfectly well with their smartphones since except for the Note7 battery exploding issues which did shake things up a bit but still resulted in one of the most profitable years for Samsung with the S7 series. According to LG, SUPER UHD TV lineup enables wider viewing angles and offers Active HDR with Dolby Vision allowing for multiple HDR formats. LG has announced that Jo Seong-jin, the head of its Home Appliance & Air Solution (H&A) Company has been promoted to the position of sole Chief Executive Office (CEO). In latest news, LG’s US subsidiary has started offering refunds to Nexus 5X users if they are experiencing boot loops on their device. Instead of fixing or replacing the device, the company is offering a full refund, as it doesn’t have the necessary parts to replace them with. The LG V series is to the G series what the Galaxy Note series is to the Galaxy S series. However instead of being more of an upgrade or an updated version of the G series, the V series phones have an entirely different personality to themselves. The V10 in fact was without a doubt, one of the best smartphones of 2015. It borrowed many of the specifications and features from the G4 but it fixed almost everything that was wrong with the G4 and then bundled some more unique features into a fresh design. The V10 till this day remains one of the best smartphones on the market and the only real issue that people faced was being able to buy one.
This week Leonvo launched its Xiaomi Mi Max competitor, a big screen smartphone PHAB 2 Plus in India. The device was first unveiled at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 in San Francisco back in June.
