Starting out with laptops, the depth-sensing “Real Sense” technology from Intel has had slow adoption, mainly due to the fact that innovation was mostly around mobile. At this year’s MWC, we had seen how Intel is finally Moving Mobile, and as a part of this effort, Real Sense is now available in smaller devices, like the Dell Venue 8 7000 series tablet. Intel has launched a line of Core M Processors at IFA, Berlin 2014. First announced at Computex, the low power chips use just 4.5W power and are based on company’a Broadwell architecture.
Intel has announced a strategic collaboration with Unity Technologies to extend Android support for Intel devices. Unity will add Android support for Intel’s current and future x86 chips. Both Unity 4 and 5 will be updated to include support for Intel Core and Intel Atom-based mobile processors.

In a bid to boost sales of low-end Android tablets, Intel has teamed up with Chinese mobile chipmaker Rockchip. Under the agreement, the chipmakers signed an agreement to jointly offer a quad-core processor and integrated modem called SoFIA, which will be available in the first half of 2015, said Intel in an official release.
