Lumia RM-1090 with Microsoft branding gets certified in China

Couple of weeks back Microsoft officially announced that it would replace the Nokia branding on upcoming Lumia smartphones with Microsoft. Today a smartphone codenamed RM-1090 from Microsoft has surfaced on China’s TENAA certification website with Microsoft branding on the front and back of the smartphone, replacing Nokia’s branding.

Google Nexus 6 coming soon to Flipkart

Last month Google announced the Nexus 6, the company’s flagship Nexus smartphone made by Motorola. Soon after the announcement Motorola India revealed that the smartphone would roll in 28 countries, including India starting later this year. The 32GB variant of the smartphone has been listed on Flipkart as Coming Soon, but the pricing is not mentioned.

Sony reports Q2 FY14 results, 9.9 million smartphones shipped

Sony Corporation today reported net loss of 85.6 billion yen ($785 million) for its second quarter of the financial year 2014 that ended September 30th. Even though it shipped 9.9 million smartphone in the quarter, mobile communications division has reported an operating loss of 172 billion yen ($1.6 billion) for the quarter.

LG reports Q3 2014 earnings, record 16.8 million smartphones shipped

LG Electronics has announced their earnings for Q3 2014, in which it has reported net profit of 203 billion Won (US$ 194 million) with operating profits of 461.3 billion Won (US$ 449.61 million). Both the operating profits and net profits were down compared to last quarter, but the these have doubled compared to the quarter a year earlier.
