Reliance JIO Infocomm and Reliance Communications to share RCOM’s optic fiber network
Reliance JIO Infocomm owned by Mukesh Ambani has tied up with Reliance Communications to get acces to the latter’s optic fiber network. RCOM, owned by Anil Ambani, has a cross country fiber network spread across 120,000 kilometeres. The network will serve as the backbone for Reliance Jio’s 4G network.

LG Optimus G Pro sales surpass half a million units
LG has announced that the sales (to supply channel) of their latest flagship, the Optimus G Pro has surpassed 500 thousand units in their home county Korea, in less than 40 days of launch. The LG Optimus G Pro was unveiled in February, that went on sale in Korea on February 21st. LG announced last month that they have sold over 10 million LTE smartphones globally, since their first LTE smartphone that was launched in Korea back in October 2011. The Optimus LTE sold 5,000 units on the first day of the launch, LG has announced they sold 10,000 units of the Optimus G Pro on the launch day. HTC Desire P with 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor announced
HTC has announced the Desire P, a new Android smartphone in Taiwan. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen Super LCD2 display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. No details about the Android version, but it is likely to run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging and comes with Beats audio support. Huawei Ascend Y300 that was announced earlier this year at the MWC 2013 is now on pre-order in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei Emotion 1.0 UI. It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a 0.3 MP front-facing camera. This is the successor of the Ascend Y200 that was launched last year. Huawei launched the Ascend Y210D with dual SIM support earlier this year. The Huawei Ascend G510 is also on pre-order along with the Y300. Samsung Galaxy S Advance sees a huge price drop, now available for Rs. 14500
Samsung Galaxy S Advance has got a huge price cut in India, and is available for Rs. 14,500. It was announced in January last year, and launched in India last April at a price tag of Rs. 26,900 (MRP) running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It was selling at Rs. 17,500 earlier this month. BlackBerry 2013 roadmap leaked , BlackBerry 10 Tablet and Phablet may be in the works
Looks like there is a new BlackBery 10 leak on the inter webs. The BlackBerry Z10 was the first BlackBerry 10 device to be launched along with the Q10 and it was leaked a lot before the official reveal on January 30th. Now some presentation slides have emerged which show a B10 L which might the first BlackBerry 10 tablet. Also we see a U10 which looks like a Phablet/Large screen device. Micromax Canvas HD now in stores, with fresh packaging, costs more
Micromax has been in a lot of news recently from unexpected demand for its Canvas Android phones to its legal tussle with Ericsson over patent infringement for over 100 crores . The company increased the price of Canvas HD A116 to Rs.14499 from Rs.13990 due to increase in customs duty. Now the stocks of the Canvas HD are finally hitting retail stores and we could find it at few retail shops in Chennai. The retail packaging has got a fresh new look.

Google Nexus 7 orders already being delivered in India
When the Google Nexus 7 tablet went on sale last week , Google indicated that it would ship the orders by April 5th. But looks like the company decided to ship them out earlier than expected. A few readers have already mailed us that they have already received Fedex tracking numbers for the shipment and 1 reader actually got the device delivered at his home as you can see from the photo below. Micromax A116 Canvas HD Benchmarks
Micromax unveiled the A116 Canvas HD back in January, started selling the device through online retailer Snapdeal starting from February 14th. It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. This was the first phone to launch in India with the quad-core MediaTek processor. We reviewed the device last month, but we didn’t share complete benchmarks of the device back then. Here are the benchmark comparison with the other mid-range Android smartphones in the market .
