Android 5.0 Lollipop factory images for Nexus 4 now available
Google started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop over-the-air (OTA) update and released factory images and binaries for the Nexus 5, WiFi variants of both Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 7 2013 and the Nexus 10 earlier this week. Gionee has launched CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L LTE smartphone and has announced P4S and P6 smartphones. The Gionee CTRL V6L has a 5-inch HD screen, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Pioneer P5L has a 4.7-inch FWVGA screen, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Swipe Ultimate 10.1-inch Windows 8.1 Tablet with detachable Keyboard launched for Rs. 19999
Swipe Technologies has launched the Swipe Ultimate, the company’s first Windows 8.1 tablet. It has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) IPS screen and is powered by an quad-core Intel Atom Z3735 processor. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a magnetic keyboard that has a touchpad so that it can double up as a laptop.
Sharp develops ultra sharp 4.1 inch LCD display with 736ppi
Sharp has developed a new 4.1” IGZO LCD display with 736 pixels per inch (ppi). According to Sharp, its new display has the same pixel density as a 6-inch 4K display. The highest-resolution LCD panel that the company has so far developed is a low-temperature polycrystalline silicon (LTPS) panel that has a resolution slightly lower than 550ppi.

SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive for iPhone and iPad with Lightning and USB connectors announced
We had seen USB OTG drives for Android phones with a micro USB on one side and a standard USB connector on the other side to transfer files from PCs or laptops to supported Android smartphones and tablets. SanDisk has introduced iXpand Flash Drive, a OTG drive for Apple iPhone and iPad. PQI released a similar OTG stick called Gmobi iStick earlier this year. Asus has launched Transformer Pad TF103 and Transformer Book T200 tablets in India. The Asus Transformer Pad TF103 is an Android tablet running Android 4.4 (KitKat) and the Transformer Book T200 is a portable Windows 8.1 tablet with a 11.6-inch screen that transforms into a laptop with a full-size keyboard dock. Asus also launched the Transformer Flip Book, a 15.6” laptop with 360-degree rotating touchscreen. Oculus VR mobile SDK available for developers
Oculus Rift has released the mobile software development kit (SDK) for Samsung’s Gear VR Innovation headset. The Gear VR is powered by the Oculus Mobile software and therefore comes with an official Mobile Software Development Kit that will encourage developers to prepare some apps for the new platform.
