Google announced the Project Ara developers conference for April 15th and 16th that began yesterday. Google would release the Project Ara gray phone in January 2015, according to CNET. LG India promotes Knock Code feature with new contest
LG introduced the dual SIM variants of the L90 and L70 smartphones in India recently. This has Knock Code feature that was first introduced on the G Pro 2. All the latest F Series, L Series III smartphone and the LG G2 mini has the Kock Code feature and LG has also promised to bring the feature to LG G2 and G Flex users through a software update. Samsung ChatON messenger now lets you translate between Hindi and English
Samsung updated their ChatON messenger app to version 3.5 for Android earlier this month that brought new features. At an event Samsung India has revealed that the ChatON 3.5 would also offer instant message translation between English and Hindi. It also supports 14 Indian languages and has Indianized Anicons or animated icons. It also detailed more feature aimed at Indian users. Oppo R1S with 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon processor gets certified in China
Oppo R1 that was unveiled back in December last year had a quad-core MediaTek processor, Oppo R1S codenamed R8007 has been certified on TENNA in China. This is expected to come with a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor and would come with the same 5-inch HD display. It would run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Oppo’s own Color ROM on top and come with an upgraded 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Gear wearable devices compatible with 20 Galaxy devices
Samsung launched the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit in India and other countries globally. The company has announced that all these devices would support 20 Galaxy devices including 12 smartphones and 8 Galaxy tablets. The first Samsung Galaxy Gear was compatible only with three Galaxy devices initially and later got updated to support more Galaxy devices. Gmail gets option to attach images backed up using Google+
Google has added a new feature for Gmail that lets you attach any image that has been automatically backup to Google+ from your mobile devices. LG L24 isai for KDDI with ultra narrow bezel leaks, could be unveiled on May 1st
LGL22 Isai that was unveiled as a part of KDDI’s Winter 2013 lineup few months back would get a successor soon. @evleaks has posted a press render of the upcoming LGL24 isai smartphone headed to Japan’s KDDI network. The smartphone has a narrow bezel, similar to Sharp’s Aquos phone and is expected to come with a display size of 5.5-inch or more. Samsung filed Samsung Gear Solo and Samsung Gear Now trademarks last week. Now trademark filings for Samsung Galaxy V;, Galaxy Adore and Galaxy S Fitness has surfaced on U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The Gear Solo was rumored to be a 3G-enabled Gear 2 with SIM support to make voice calls natively. Google updates Terms of Service to explain email scanning for ad targeting
Google has revised its Terms of Service (ToS) for Gmail to explain how does it scans users emails for the purpose of ad targeting. The changes that took effect Monday April 14, 2014, specifically indicate that Google is using software to scan email when it is in transit or stored on Google’s servers.
