Sony has launched the Xperia Z3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India, as expected. It was unveiled at the IFA 2014 earlier this month. Even though the 5.2-inch 1080p display and the 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor are similar to the Xperia Z2, the Xperia Z3 has a more brighter screen, powered by a slightly faster Snapdragon 801 SoC and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. Samsung Galaxy A series devices to support LTE connectivity
Samsung is working on three devices under its A series – SM-A300, SM-A500 and SM-A700. Specs and leaks of the first two devices have already been leaked in photos and benchmarks. Now, an important detail regarding the phone is being revealed by SamMobile.
The report states that all the three A series devices will feature LTE connectivity. A feature mostly seen in high end devices, LTE support will also come to the Samsung A3 which is the low end device among the three phones. Samsung will likely name these three devices as Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 with each being priced between $350-$400, $400-450 and $450-$500 respectively.
Moving on, Galaxy A7 will be launched in selected countries unlike the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 which will be up for a global rollout, said the report. It speculates that Galaxy A7 will be sold in selected countries as the device might give a tough competition to its recently launched Galaxy Alpha thereby eating its sales.
No official word about when will the three devices will be released is known, however there is a possibility that they will be announced sometime in the third-quarter.

BlackBerry Passport with 4.5-inch 453 PPI Square Display announced
BlackBerry has officially announced the Passport, the company’s latest high-end smartphone at several separate events. It was first introduced by the company’s earnings back in June and packs a 4.5” diagonal (1440 x 1440 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974-AA) processor and runs on BlackBerry OS 10.3 with new BlackBerry Assistant, BlackBerry own personal assistant. The focus here is completely on the wide portrait screen that it offers, which is exactly a square. Aimed at the enterprise, Blackberry claims that this screen will suit productivity better than any other narrow screen in the market. Among the other things, the Blackberry keyboard also gets an update, with touch enabled keys right above, on-screen.
