The company has several smartphones including phones with dual rear cameras, and it plans to bring 3 or 4 smartphones to India first, but it is not clear what phones the company is planning to launch next month. China’s Tencent might pump $400 million in Ola

Huawei Mate 10 will come with full-screen display, confirms CEO

Huawei yesterday announced its shipped 73 million smartphones during the first six months of the year, up 21% YoY. Richard Yu, head of Huawei’s consumer division said that the company has shipped more than six million P10  since the launch. In an interview with Bloomberg, he said that the phone will be an even more powerful product compared to the predecessor.

Twitter has revealed financial earnings for Q2 2017. The micro-blogging site recorded $574 million in revenue, down 5% YoY. Twitter’s monthly active user base remained unchanged at 328 million in Q2 2017. This means, Twitter reported 0% user growth this quarter.

Last year there was a report that said Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular were gearing up to launch VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services to take on Reliance Jio who launched pan-India 4G LTE services with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) back in September last year. Now Airtel has announced that it will launch VoLTE services in the country by end of current financial year, which is by March 2018. Xiaomi secures $1 billion loan for global retail expansion

Xiaomi has secured a whopping $1 billion loan to expand globally and increase its retail footprint. The Chinese smartphone maker has revealed that it has secured a three-year syndicated loan agreement from 18 banks across Europe, Middle East, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley served as joint global coordinator, with Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, Deutsche Bank AG, and Wing Lung Bank.

Apple iPhone 8 might not ship until late 2017, Face ID 3D facial recognition details surface

Earlier this month, a report said that the iPhone 8 will come in four colors, one of which will feature a mirror-like finish. Now a new report from Japan’s Macotakara says that it will come in different colors, but it will not come in White.  It also says that it will not ship until Q4 2017, which is between October to December.
